About Me
Zeroism Productions, LLC
ZEROISM PPRODUCTIONS, LLC, was founded by Alexandros Maslatzides in 2002. Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Alexandros studied Graphic Design, Digital Art and Photography in New York at the School Of Visual Arts. Alexandros's lifelong career in the arts never catered to convenience or convention. His work always took the dangerous route to find its destination more convincingly, through an inspired, yet exact marriage of photography, technology, and alchemy. Compelled by the noise of technology's collision with tradition, the artist sought meaning in the pieces. He developed his own layered process; a personal voice against the sterile, industrial view that traditional media is just fuel for digital augmentation. Through his work, Alexandros strives to reflect the drama of personal displacement, cultural upheaval, and the struggle for stability, as the old points of reference shift and we all search for a new world model.
Alexandros's work has earned him recognition and acclaim here and abroad, through exhibitions in Athens and New York and publication in arts compilations and magazines. He has been featured in Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Computer Arts, and is a featured artist in “Extreme Design,†published by HOW Design & Books and "Digital Exposure," published by Harper Collins.
Naturally, film speaks loudly to Alexandros's need to engage his audience on multiple levels and he has been developing screenplays for several years. A lifetime devoted to conveying story, wit, emotion, and drama through images has given Alexandros a tremendous passion and foundation for film and writing.
His current fulltime project, "The Production," a feature length screenplay, is the culmination of his unique perspective. It is a deeply sexy, lurid, and relevant story of glamorous information age egos, trapped in a downward cat and mouse spiral that ends in a stunning media drenched tragedy. Slyly commenting on America's obsession with meaning and reality in the media, Alexandros has captured the same taut and involving themes explored in his photography and print work. In collaboration with his brother, Chrysostomos, who co-wrote the screenplay, he established the foundation for ZEROISM PPRODUCTIONS, LLC in 2000 to shepherd the film. As the slated director, Alexandros is eager to use his long and varied experience to provide an unmistakable style and energy to "The Production," while maintaining the story's intelligence. "The Production" is the first of five feature films and documentaries ZEROISM PPRODUCTIONS, LLC has scheduled to produce over the next 7 years. The other 4 projects are currently in development by the brothers.
