I like DMX too just because he wild and comes rugged when he does it. Not the most lyrical cat, but he raw. Gotta admire a dude that does what he feels.Common and Black Thought (from The Roots), because they simply showcase real rhyme skills...and their voices are somewhat of a trademark. Mos Def is in there too. He doin it real big on the screen right now...Outkast, from day 1, because they keep evolving. If you listen to Southernplayalistic...and then they new shit, you'd never know it was the same 2 cats...Everybody that influenced me never followed trends, and that's a quality I admire in rap. Especially when everybody's talkin bout the same bullshit on every track...and everybody use to be Nino Brown (according to what they say) Lets be real people...Wack rappers influence me too...they make me wanna kick their asses out of the game. I just don't understand how some cats get signed...
Even though I did a song called "The Legend Killer" where I took shots at a lot of the originators of this game, I got mad respect for all of those who paved the way to allow cats to spit and be heard world wide. Sounds Like: Good music with a passion that artists lack in todays game. It sounds like real people.I've been around the states and unconciousely picked up a lot of other niggaz lingos and accents. At times people say that I kinda sound like Andre 3000, but it's not done intentionally. Not the way that I rap, but my voice reminds'm. Some of my family say i sound like my daddy (yes I do know my daddy) or my grandfather (Rest his soul). Other than that there's not really a lot of cats that I'm compared to. Listen for yourself and let me know what it is. I'm hopin I sound original for real...By the way, I make my own beats too. I GOT THEM SHITS FOR SALE IF YOU NEED HELP, BABY!
