About Me

Here's both of my amazon wish-lists
(if you feel like buying me stuff...)

Here's the Twins' wishlist...

This space is Lyric Powered .

My Interests

When I had time, I used to read a lot, I liked to paint, make jewelry, really anything that's creative, I dig. Right now, I've been trying to teach myself how to sew. I love crossword puzzles, Sudoku, watching Jeopardy, fun geeky stuff like that.

I'd like to meet:

Dorothy Parker, Johnny Cash, Buddha, Trent Reznor.

Music:

I kind of have musical Tourettes..I love a very varied mix of music.

Nine Inch Nails, The Beatles, Rollins Band, David Bowie, Classical, Opera, Kanye West, Jane's Addiction, Tool, Johnny Cash, Afghan Whigs, and many more I can't think of right now. My latest IPod playlist is a mix of NIN, Peaches, 50Cent, Tupac, Bowie, Three Dog Night, Wagner, Bizet, Johnny Cash, Guns N Roses, Portishead, Tori Amos, The Cult, The Cure, Etc...

Movies:

The Usual Suspects, Stranger Than Fiction, Arsenic and Old Lace, The Evil Dead Movies, Walk the Line, Army of Darkness, Seven, Dirty Dancing (I can't help it!), The Princess Bride, Star Wars, Return of the Jedi, The Empire Strikes Back, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Transporter movies, Man on Fire, Pretty in Pink, Silence of the Lambs, The X-Men movies, Labryinth (David Bowie in white spandex, both frightening and hot), anything Tarantino, American Beauty, Harvey, Fight Club, The Princess Bride, Knocked Up, all those chick flicks that I won't admit to loving in person, yadda yadda yadda, blah, blah, blah (this could go on for hours).

Television:

I'm obsessed with Dexter (I'm telling you, I love this show), CSI (Just Las Vegas), The Simpsons, House, Family Guy, Law and Order (SVU and CI, the original isn't the same without Jerry Orbach), and Lost...As far as old TV shows, I'll always love The X-Files, Firefly, Twin Peaks...

Books:

I love pretty much any book you throw in front of me. I love reading and miss having the opportunity to do so!! Let's see.. East of Eden, Brave New World, anything James Patterson or Jonathan Kellerman (for my shallow, brain dead reads), any useless trivia or conspiracy theory or morbid type book. The Great Gatsby. I really dig any forensic/true crime type books. Just recently I tried reading some of those Oprah book club books (I figure that's what a housewife does, right?)..they suck. Not my style. The Mental Floss Books are good fun. Any book where I learn something interesting. Except math. I fucking hate math.

Heroes:

My twin daughters, who have looked death in the face and laughed. No shit.

4 weeks, three days...

and like 20 minutes since I quit smoking. Since then, I've only had one cigarette, and it was a rolled one that I mooched off the old man neighbor next door (he needs to learn to roll them better, you...

two weeks and two hours...

Still stressed, still want to smoke..at least the major withdrawls have passed. This part I can handle. It would be a lot easier if I didn't have a multiple case of the terrible twos screaming all day...

Smoke-free..day one.

So, yesterday was my first day smoke free...so far, in the last 19 hours, I've craved a smoke at least 30 times. I've also eaten a box of cookies (and I hate sweets), a bunch of chips, two chunks of l...

Gloomy!

So, I'm having a gloomy day. I got a D in my science class, not due to the lack of scientific knowledge, just to lack of time and effort on my part. I don't know how the hell I expected to pull off 13...
