Affordable Sound Co. is a subsidiary of Central Penn Productions Inc. Established in 2003, by partners, Aaron Hoke and Stephen Musti, the Affordable Sound Co. was founded on the principle that bands playing small to medium rooms should not have to pay outrageous prices for quality sound.
As performers, we've spent years of frustration on the other side of the sound board, working with "engineers" (and we sometimes use that word very loosely) who often couldn't have cared less if we were dead or alive, much less whether or not we could hear ourselves in the monitors. At some venues, we didn't even want to know what was coming out of the main speakers. One guy actually read a book throughout our performance! Then at the end of the night, these gentlemen had the audacity to come and steal from us all of the lousy $350 that we worked so hard for.
Affordable Sound differs from many other sound companies in that we believe in customer service and that we genuinely care about our clients' audio needs. Whether working for cover bands or original artists, we make every attempt to familiarize ourselves with the band's recorded material and/or set lists as often as possible so that we can provide them with the best possible main and monitor mixes. We DO NOT give a band static when they ask us to mic their horn section, even if the room is only 12 feet long!!
Our prices are more than reasonable (usually staying around $200 per night locally for our main rig) and includes quality gear (JBL speakers, Allen & Heath MixWizard board, QSC RMX series amps, Lexicon effects, etc).
