The Jellybricks

About Me

With the release of their fourth full-length album, Goodnight to Everyone, Harrisburg, PA-based rock'n'roll quartet the Jellybricks show that their brand of pop hasn't lost its fizz after more than a decade. Continuing where 2004's Power This left off, Goodnight to Everyone showcases the Jellybricks' maturing songwriting skills and studio savvy, while capturing the vigor of their acclaimed live shows.
The Jellybricks burst onto the scene in 1997 with the release of their debut album Kinky Boot Beast. Their first single, "Who is God" immediately became a hit on local radio stations and soon found its way onto the national airwaves. Within weeks, they found themselves sharing the stage with notable acts including Live, Goo Goo Dolls, and Fuel, and over the years have appeared with the likes of Barenaked Ladies and Fountains of Wayne.
With their second album, 1999's Soapopera, the Jellybricks again found themselves on the airwaves with the singles "Speechless" and "Prerequisite Rocker," and hit the road once more in support of the album. Songs from Soapopera found their way onto the soundtracks of the indie movies Man Made and Working Stiff, as well as onto numerous compilations.
On their third album, Power This, the band continued to expand their rocking power-pop sound. While The Jellybricks have always written their songs collaboratively, guitarist Bryce Connor pitched in his first lead vocal performances, providing a gruffer, edgier compliment to lead vocalist Larry Kennedy's slick pop tunes. Power This garnered the 'bricks a four-star review from All Music Guide.
In between albums, the Jellybricks have maintained a busy schedule, bringing their frenetic live show to fans across the US, including several buzzed-about shows at the annual International Pop Overthrow festivals in Los Angeles and New York. They've also released three Christmas songs (one co-written with Jeffrey Gaines) and have recorded material appearing on numerous compilation and tribute CDs, including the widely-publicized Coming Up! tribute to the music of Paul McCartney in 2001.
Goodnight to Everyone finds the Jellybricks in top form, the result of honing their craft on the road and in the studio for a dozen years. If you've never heard the 'bricks, be sure to check 'em out. You'll be a fan for at least the next dozen.
