The lyrical assassin they call the RazorCain came screamin' into the world April 20th 19XX to an Aruban/Guyanese couple. After being born in St. Vincent & the Grenadines, young Razor relocated to the rough Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, New York. Growing up with heavy West Indian influence in the household, Razor also experienced the beginnings of the culture we now know as Hip Hop. Visions of Adidas kicks with fat laces, baseball jackets and gold chains prevailed and grew increasingly popular, although styles would evolve over time.Razor was always an exceptional writer, rated by his childhood teachers as "gifted" and "talented." But Razor saw more to writing than simply getting the grade. For him, it was always a method of therapy when times grew hard. Living in a world where immigrants were taken advantage of daily, Razor often drifted away into his own world of thoughts and emotions through writing stories. Later in life, his personal documentations would manifest itself into verses that could be set to music. From there, he perfected his craft by writing songs and reciting them back to himself.Razor's love for music runs through his blood, as his father played lead guitar in a West Indian band on the island of Trinidad and Tobago. Razor's uncle exposed young Razor to reggae and soul classics such as Bob Marley and the Wailers, Third World, Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding.MCs such as the late great Notorious B.I.G., the late great Tupac Shakur and Busta Rhymes have inspired RazorCain's consistent, rhythmic flow and unique style. Razor has released 2 singles, Livin My Life, and Give It To Me in the U.S. and Europe, under Coco Machete Records and Shaboom Records, respectfully. Those songs have also appeared on two separate episodes of MTV's PIMP MY RIDE. With an edgy delivery, swift as a blade, Razor is well on his way to showing the world what arsenal he brings to the table.
