We are Paper Mills Communications, a design, advertising and publishing firm. Founded in Detroit, Michigan by Richard E. Sibert II January 1, 1990. Originally named Pen In Hand Studios, SouthPaw Graphix is a merging of the collective talent bases of RazorRashaad (Photographer) Shareef Abdullah (Creative Director) & Muhmammad Abdur-Rasheed to make SouthPaw Graphix Co. is primed for greatness in the not so distant future. Mr Richard E. Sibert II who changed his name in 1993 to reflect his new found lifestyle (Al-Islam)is the owner of SouthPaw Graphix Co. and co-owner of SouthPaw Gear a clothing line that will debut Fall 2006.
Paper Mills Communications first major endeavor will be the introduction of monthly publication called YENOHM'I (pronounced "You Know Me", it's I'm Honey backwards) Magazine. Our targeted demographic is 18-40 year-old Women Of Color. YENOHM'I will seek to be the voice for Women Of Color by addressing issues of importance to all Women Of Color. Though Paper Mills Communications is the creator and publisher, this project is being put squarely in the hands of some very talented Sistas. Andrea C. Williams (Wayne State Univ. Class of 05) is our very talented Director of Design and will be responsible for the design and maintaining the overall appearance of YENOHM'I. Quite beautiful and talented young woman there. Then there is our Marketing Dynamo Tara Carter. This sister is the reason that you will know about YENOHM'I.
