Only continue reading if your RLE bored... __________ Likes: LIFE – every fucking second of my time on this beautiful amazing planet. Al of my friends and family!, MUSIC!, Thinking! (a lot!, often about pointless stuff like trying to get my head around incomprehensible concepts and going to deep in to stuff that’s not that important), Dreaming!, Creativity and imagination – I think it’s a shame that as a lot of people get older they tend to suppress these blessings and fall into a more systematic fixed routine existence. Traveling!, Meeting new people! Laughing and smiling until my face hurts, Hearing other people’s laughs and seeing their smiles. Making other people laugh and smile – even if it’s at my expense ;P. Sleep, eating and cooking good food, Having in-depth conversations about anything and everything, Philosophy, Psychology, Astrophysics, Mad sensations and entertaining head states - whilst completely sober of course *cough*, Summer! Festivals!!, Free parties, Twisted nights at Club 2k!! Long live the CHEESE! – yay I can dance like a hamster on ketamine and feel right at home. Cornwall! (it’s a beautiful place and the people are very chilled out as a rule (even if they are a bit crazy)), Buddhism, Taoism, Tai chi, Hing-si and Bagua, Hackeysack, powerbocking (pogo stilting), Staring up at the night sky into space and basking in its infinite size and the infinite number of possibilities and amazing things there could be outside our tiny tiny planet. Then afterwards thinking about how infinitely small and insignificant all my problems and worries are in relation. ____________ Dislikes: Dislikes and bad experiences can be shite but there are nearly always valuable lessons to learn from them – “what doesn’t kill us only makes us strongerâ€. And they make us appreciate the good. In no particular order: Mindless discrimination and violence in all its forms, passing judgment over shallow things although we all do it to some degree, closed-mindedness, elitist views, fascism, MONEY and all the shit that comes with it! (one day ill work out a functioning alternative to capitalism ;p), empty feelings, stress, Early mornings!, Public transport, the education system – a lot of room for improvement, Advertising (altho it cn b quite entertaining.), Glamorizing violence and generally acting like a prick, religion sometimes (I think that religion is a good thing as most religions uphold the belief that we should be compassionate to other people and treat them as we wish to be treated ourselves but I think there are contradictions and there are many examples of cases where religious beliefs have been used to justify evil acts) Other things that piss me off include: Chris Crocker (what a retard), Fred Phelps, the British and American government and political system – they’re corrupt, petty and generally pathetic in most cases, George bush, People who pretend that our modern life styles aren't having any effect on the environment - notice how most of the research claiming global warming isn't happening is funded by Oil companies and the like.
Absolutely everyone that has ever existed and will ever exist! (if it were possible). However, I guess I’ll settle with meeting a decent number of those 'questionable' individuals on the planet at the moment – Yeah! You know who you are. Hang your head in shame! Oo oh and Santa, The Tooth Fairy and Vlad III The Impaler
I truly adore music! It’s my favourite art form. I think it can have an incredible effect on peoples emotions - inspiring people, making them happy, giving them strength etc. I also think its great the way a piece of music can evoke a different feeling and image to everyone; this is how it should be. I find music has an amazing effect on atmosphere as well. Im glad to say my musical taste is eclectic, I appreciate nearly all genres of music, I generally find that I admire Instrumental work and vocals the most but I also love electronic music and appreciate the musicianship of many artists. As well as listening to music I also like to try playing it. Im still very much a beginner but I’m really passionate about it (I just wish I had more time for it, stupid college!) I can play a tiny bit of the guitar and I’m ok at bass (I’m getting better). However, my favourite instrument is without doubt the piano, I started to play the piano October 06 and I’m loving it, it’s such a versatile amazing instrument. I'd also like to learn Classical Guitar, cello, violin, flute, Sitar, (probly not gunna get around to it but it's worth a try ^^). I won’t bother listing all artists ill just list as many genres that I like that I can think of with a few artists. Genres: Rock and all the subgenres (especially the experimentally, electro stuff (generally not EMO)): Radiohead! The Mars volta! Tool! 65daysofstatic! Mindless self indulgence! At The Drive In, Rancid etc, Luigi The Crank!! Psychedelia- Pink Floyd, Jefferson aeroplane..,Trip Hop, Metal –and all subgenres not what emos call 'Metal'. , I also love folky and acoustic stuff. Funk, Blues guitar and spanish/latin american guitar can be awesome. I saw Rodrigo y Gabriela @ Glastonbury 07 they were incredible. The genres that impress me the most in terms of Musicianship and musical depth would probably be Jazz and classical music. My Favourite classical artists include: Beethoven! Lizst! Chopin!, Bach, Mozart, Grieg, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Schubert, Brahms, mendelssohn, Schumann, Tchaikovsky,Prokofief, Shostakovich Rimsky Korsakov, Handel, Paganini, Ludovico einaudi, Michael Nyman and Yann Tiersenn (music from ‘Amelie’). Other random genres: Psytrance, Hardtrance, Hardhouse, Techno, Acid Techno, Drum and Bass (mostly darker stuff), Ska, Dubstep, Reggae, Ambient, Hardcore, grime, Gabber, Noisecore, Breakcore, Grindcore Anything core, lol, IDM! -All sorts of amazing crazy bad-taste messy awesomeness like Venetian snares, Aphex, Squarepusher and Flashbulb. Pretty much all artists on the wrong music label e.g. Shitmatt, scotcheggetc. Jonny 3snares, Zetan Spore, psyclone, acidface and dj mecrab are all awsome Artists based in Cornwall. Check 'em out!!
can be wkd! particularly if funny, scary, provocative or foreign..
I hardly ever watch t.v. It’s generally pretty dull and mind-numbing. However, I like some funny and satirical stuff like Simpsons, Southpark, Family guy, Futrama, Nevermind the Buzzcocks, Have I got news for you, Deadringers, The mighty boosh etc
I don't read enough but ive got loads I want to read.
All of my friends and family in some respect at least. Many many people dead and living who have had a positive impact on the world, people that have true appreciation and that walk round with their eyes open. People living in real conditions of poverty and deprivation all over the planet - many of them are still smilling which I think teaches us a lesson about appreciation and our modern superficial lifestyles. Funny clued-up people like Bill Hicks!! and Bill Bailey! he was so hilarious at glastonbury!
