Wild Child Records will release the first installment of the mixtape series Hunger Pains.
Hunger Pains vol. 1 represents the drive to feed the beast within Lost Soul. The mixtape is a reflection of Lost Soul's determination to make his mark on today's industry. He wants to be taken serious; he wants to stand out amongst the crowd and not to be overlooked. Success is the only option!
Lost Soul is the direct connection the streets. Born Shaoba McCoy (27), Lost Soul grew up in Brooklyn section of New York. A project boy- a hustler - a survivor. Every rapper drops the same story; Lost Soul just wants to tell the story differently. He wants to tell you the story with his voice of understanding. He wants to tell you its ok to push a hooptie, show you its cool to get a degree and be hood, and its dope to admit your mistakes. He wants Hunger Pains vol.1 to be your very own piece of Lost Soul.
To accomplish this feat Lost Soul has created a classic tape that rivals the most notable artist dropping mixtapes. (50 Cent, Papoose, Saigon, JR Writer, Graph, Juelz Santana etc.). He spits pure octane over some of today’s hottest instrumentals, proving he belongs in the game. Right from the start you can feel that this is not the everyday dude dropping a mixtape. Hunger Pain’s “Intro†brings that energy and sets the tone for the entire mixtape. Cuts like "Droppin Hits" where Lost Soul kicks it over Camron's Jay-Z diss track “You Got It " Displays his cunning word play and his knack for recording swagger. Other tracks such as “Myself†echoes the feeling of all the people trying to make it with than most. Then there is the “Fighting Temptations†jump off featuring R&B crooner Skye, showing that Lost Soul will never forget about the ladies. Hunger Pains vol.1 is not loaded with 30 plus tracks where you will be exercising your finger on the next button, but 17 dope tracks for continuous play. Hunger Pains vol.1 will sure to establish Lost Soul as a top nominee for the late Justso’s Mixtape Awards, in the categories Best East Coast Mixtape Artist and Best Underground Artist on a Mixtape for 2007.
There is a deeper purpose for Hunger Pains vol.1 then hot bars and punch lines. Hunger Pains vol.1 aims to expose the listeners to Lost Soul's lead singles “Lap Dance†and “Bang Thisâ€.
“Lap Dance“ Produced by Lost Soul The song "Lap Dance" is a sexy yet tasteful out look on nightlife. The song boasts Lost Soul's cocky attitude, which is sure to catch the ear of the dudes getting their mack on. With lines such as "The only shot hitting me is that glass of Hennessey and the rounds I’m taking feels like the bar is killing me." “Lap Dance†will surely please the partygoers. DJ's looking for that joint to get it poppin, will need to look no further than the song "Lap Dance". Stripers looking for that cut to get them tricks open and start tossing them dollars, need to get there "Lap Dance" on.
“Bang This†Produced by Lost Soul featuring J’Ones “Bang This†is a more traditional hip hop cut ready to bust a hole in ya speakers .The track features Lost Soul’s long time friend J’Ones on the chorus and showcases Lost Soul’s productions skills. “ Bang This†is that hard-core party track that all Mix show and mixtape DJ’s crave for. Look to hear this one on where ever the party is at.
With These two titles along with the rest of the Hunger Pain’s vol.1, Lost Soul a.k.a. “The Pope of The Hood, The Hope of The Ghetto “ gives today's hip-hop head " the what’s missing "from hip hop
