Fusion Libre's Biography

Fusion Libre was formed in 1997 by Hugo Noguera (guitarist), Alex Manrique (bass), and Carlos Alberto Nuñez (drummer). Hugo was more influenced by punk bands while Alex and Carlos were more influenced by rap but were open to all types of music.

Work began when Tatiana Otálora joined the band. This woman was influenced by balada, marking a radical change in the rhythms that the band was creating.

Alter playing for a long period of time, the band became well known in Chía under the name of Valhala, and gave several successful concerts

A while after, guitarist Andrés Gánem joined the band. Simultaneously, they abandoned the female voice, due to the fact that the style of the band was beginning to become more hardcore.

Due to the influence of new musical styles, Valhala developed a style of their own and began experimenting and fusing hardcore, rap, punk, and latin rhythms like traditional Cuban music in some of their songs.

This new style required more discipline from Valhala's music and vocals. As a result, the band decided to put forth more effort into itself and made radical changes. They changed their name to FUSION LIBRE and began looking for a new vocalist that met their objectives.

After several auditions no one met the bands expectations, because of this, the members decided to try out their own voices and refine them until achieving excellent results.

Towards the beginning of 2004, the bands second guitarist left, and in turn, it gave way to the bands first professional five-song demo, recorded in Artico Records. The band gave various concerts to promote several of their songs and strengthened the band by integrating Jonathan García (lead guitarist) into the band.

In 2005 the band worked on a new, more commercialized project, opening doors to a wider market. This new project motivated them to modify their style in order to target the mainstream fan base.

Biografia de Fusion Libre

Banda conformada en el año de 1997 en Chía por Hugo Noguera (guitarrista) el cual estaba influenciado por bandas de punk, Alex Manrique (bajo) y Carlos Alberto Núñez (baterista) que se centraban más en el estilo rap, pero eran abiertos a todo tipo de música.

El trabajo empezó cuando se unió a la banda Tatiana Otálora, esta mujer estaba influenciada por la balada, marcando un cambio radical en los ritmos que la banda estaba creando.

Después de trabajar por un largo tiempo la banda se dio a conocer en Chía con el nombre de Valhala realizando unos exitosos conciertos.

Tiempo después se unió el guitarrista Andrés Gánem y de igual forma se separó la voz femenina, ya que el estilo comenzaba a dar un cambio muy fuerte hacia el hardcore.

Gracias a la influencia de los nuevos géneros musicales, Valhala optó por un nuevo rumbo donde se experimentaría el hardcore, rap, punk y ritmos latinos como el son cubano en algunos de sus temas.

Por la exigencia que requería este nuevo estilo en la voz y en el sonido Valhala decidió hacer una serie de cambios y dedicar muchísimo más tiempo a la perfección del mismo, además de cambiar su nombre a FUSIÓN LIBRE y buscar un vocalista que cumpliera con los objetivos deseados.

Después de hacer varias audiciones ninguna de las personas escuchadas cumplió con las expectativas deseadas por el grupo, así que sus integrantes decidieron ensayar sus propias voces y trabajarlas hasta lograr excelentes resultados.

A comienzos del 2004 se retiró el guitarrista acompañante Andrés Gánem y daría paso a la primera grabación profesional con un demo de 5 canciones realizado en Ártico Records; luego se hicieron varios conciertos para reforzar los temas ya grabados; además se reforzó la banda con el nuevo integrante Jonathan García (guitarra líder).

En el 2005 se trabajó en un nuevo proyecto de música más comercial, abriendo más mercado y exigiendo aun más la comercialización de su producto por la gran aceptación del público que los acompaña.
