Deep in the Central American jungle, in remote areas where cell phones and currrency are as foreign as sudoku rules and strategies, my Mayan ancestors eked out an existence. Using primitive tools and no written language, they stood no chance for the invading conquistadors of Western Europe. The two cultures integrated, thus producing a new breed of mixed-blooded hybrids. This continued for generations until one day, one of my ancestors made the giant leap across the seas and reached the new land, America. She then continued the mixing of the already tainted bloodline by joining a male of another hybrid race, the Cajuns. Needless to say, the blood that flows through every inch of my circulatory system is anything but pure. My thoughts and actions are far from orthodox due to my unique sanguine cocktail. I have learned to deal with my genetic makeup.
