THE BRIGHT SIDE This aspect of Leo is very

bright indeed for this is the personality very much

attuned to the vital life-giving qualities of the Sun.

The typical Leo personality is flamboyant and

generous with tremendous charm and magnanimity

of spirit which draws people close. The fixed quality

of the sign, meanwhile, helps to restrain the Fire

elementâ€™s tendency to over-exuberance. Leos are

also loyal, full of self-assurance and hard working,

being excellent organizers (so long as they are the

boss). Leoâ€™s ability to play hard and the value

THE DARKER SIDE This aspect of the Leo

personality usually emerges when Leo is being

ignored, which may result in sulking, or when inferior

very self-opinionated and consequently bombastic

commemorates the Nemian Lion â€“

a ferocious beast sent by the goddess Hera

to test her enemy, Hercules, in the first of his

Twelve Labours. Arrows proved useless against

the animalâ€™s thick hide, so Hercules trapped the

Lion in its lair and choked to death with his bare

hands despite losing a finger. Afterwards he

cloaked himself in the Lionâ€™s skin as a protection

against all future enemies.

Expansive, generous and caring, Leos revel in love affairs

and all things romantic. We are passionate and demonstrative,

and like nothing better than spoiling their loved ones.
