Solo performances on simultaneous guitars

About Me

I've been singing and playing instruments since I was a kid. At the Royal Hospital School in Suffolk, England, I studied music theory and learned to play the trumpet, drums and guitar while also continuing to sing. I played with Rock, Jazz and Choral ensembles and, after leaving school, with the Medway Dance Orchestra, a big band playing Glenn Miller style arrangements. Not my favourite style, but a gig is a gig and the experience was fantastic. By the time I was eighteen I had played at some major venues, including Chatham Town Hall and Earls Court in London. I went on to play lead guitar with the "Ace of Clubs". We played the working mens club circuit in the south of England and were very fully booked.Upon first moving to the USA I taught guitar lessons and sold instruments at the Broward Music Center in Fort Lauderdale. Unable to get a band organized I looked for solo opportunities and developed a two handed playing style based on the technique of my mentor Michael Bianco. My first CD, released in the summer of 2005 is Angelic Mythology, a collection of original songs that echo both Classic Rock and New Age themes available at: cdbaby.com/cd/robertmason Check out our friends at Epidemix.com - The MySpace & Virb Music Directory .. width="425" height="350" .. mspobj enableJSURL="false" enableHREF="false" saveEmbedTags="true" allowScriptAccess="never" allownetworking="internal" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess="never" allownetworking="internal" height="355" width="425"
