Storm was born August 17th, 1982 in Battle Creek, MI to the parents of Kathy and
David Newton. The second oldest child of seven, he lived the first 5 years of
his life in Battle Creek, MI. Then his family moved to the small community of
Bellevue, MI. where he spent the next 13 years, developing a love for
competition, and honing a skill he was unaware of, but that would come to play
later in life.
His mom and dad separated when he was 7 years old, changing the fabric of his
existence. At a young age his role had changed from son and brother, to mediator
and role model regardless of his opinion on the matter. Frustrated and confused,
he put all his time into sports, hoping that he would find an environment where
he could be himself, a place where he could be a kid. Yet, no matter where he
ran, his problems followed him. In a desparate need to escape, he found a way to
escape through music! The more he listened, the more he realized that in music,
people could freely express themselves. Whether it was a way to show their love,
loss, heartache, joy or disdain for society's blindness to truth. He would
literally lock himself in his room for hours, listening, learning, and sharing
in the emotions that the artist's themselves were feeling. It gave him comfort
to know that he was not the only person lost and confused. The music showed him
that he could rise above his struggles, and in doing so, pass his experiences on
and help others.
The pursuit of his growing passion to make a difference in people's lives led
him to New York City where he realized he had a unique talent for
expression--something in his voice was able to touch people of all types. It
would later be described to him as "an ability to make people feel and see what
he was going though in that moment". While in New York City, he modeled and
worked other jobs to make ends meet. But after being in the city for a year,
Storm found himself at a crossroad. He knew he had a love and need for music,
but being only 18 years old, he knew he needed to seek advice. Interestingly
enough, that advice was to get the hell out of New York and move to LA! That is
where he has been the past 4 years doing modeling for Abercrombie&Fitch, and
Ralph Lauren, getting his acting chops, and pursuing his primary passion of
exression through MUSIC!!
