About Me

..

My Interests

I'm one of those girls who will eat chocolate and swoon watching old Robert Redford films, or I'll drink beer and watch football--life is a buffet and I'll try a little of everything. Movies, writing (screenplays, poems, plays, etc.), time spent at the beach or in nature, coffee (comes from the Seattle unbringing), random road trips, flying (maybe I should be a pilot, since I don't have wings), sleeping in, traveling and exploring the world, the Seahawks, the Mariners and the Dodgers, and moments with friends and family (not necessarily in that order).

Music:

Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay, U2, Sting, Pete Yorn, Dashboard Confessional, Incubus, Pink Floyd, New Order, Depeche Mode, Jeff Buckley, almost all '80's music, and my guilty pleasure (if you want to call it that) is Justin Timberlake. I also enjoy some Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, Van Halen, Heart, old R & B/Motown (like Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross), Michael Buble, George Michael, Steve Miller Band, Billy Joel....

Movies:

Finding Neverland, Batman Begins, Sideways, Gladiator, When Harry Met Sally, the original Star Wars movies, Pulp Fiction, BTTF I and II, True Romance, Roxanne, Heathers, Swingers, Waiting for Guffman, The Natural, The Rookie, Forrest Gump, The Way We Were, Somewhere in Time, Superman I and II, Say Anything (well, mostly that one scene), Jackass (I can't believe how much it made me laugh), The Breakfast Club, and The Neverending Story (my childhood favorite). I'm sure there's more...

Television:

24, The Office, The Amazing Race, and Lost are the current shows I watch regularly. I also often watch reruns of Seinfeld, Sex And the City, and Will and Grace. I gotta give props to Family Guy, South Park, and The Simpsons, too--they're usually very funny and intelligently written shows (and women do watch them, too!).

Books:

Most of my favorites, if we're talking fiction, are the classics (Catcher in the Rye, Huck Finn, The Color Purple, etc.). As far as recent stuff goes, I really liked She's Come Undone, White Oleander, and Dan Brown's books...but I read all kinds of stuff, even if I don't always finish everything.

My Blog

To my friends up North (the Emerald City and the outskirts of Oz)...

I know that the weather (or shall I say "arctic blast") up there has been rough for all of you Northwesterners lately--not to mention the big Seahawk loss and the embarrassing lack of Seattle-based ta...
