Love, Life & Understanding by Leketia Brown...Coming to a bookstore near you!

About Me

Hey people... My name is Ketia and it's pronounced Key-ta --- not Key-tee-ah or Keisha... Just Key-ta (My mom put that I there to confuse people. And she did a bang up job at it.
Let's see... A little bit about me... well... I love to read... especially books by Dean Koontz, Stephen King and Eric Jerome Dickey... Most of the books on my shelves are black authors. My favorite book of all is "The Coldest Winter Ever" by Sista Soulja. Awesome read... pick it up... Last book I read was Genevieve by Eric Jerome Dickey and right now I'm reading Velocity by Dean Koontz.
I'm not much of a TV watcher. But there are a few shows that I cannot miss like, America's Next Top Model, The Apprentise, and Design Star.
I love to read and write poetry... Right now I'm in the process of writig a book. I'm thinkng I'm writing it for myself rather than to be published. I'll see when it's done what I really want to do with it.
I'm fun loving, sweet, brutally honest and caring. I'm also intelligent, witty, and a smart ass. But I also have my oh so goofy, can't stop laughing to save my life side that my friends love about me.

My Interests

As I said before I love to read and write poetry... I spend quite a bit of time on many poetry sites reading everyone elses poetry. I frequent the BPC and Realistic Illusions. I haven't written in a while but you can find some of my poetry in there too. I love to read any and all fictional/nonfictional novels. I love to spend time with my beautiful boys (ages 9 and 10). I love to enjoy life, without feeling like I have to spend a million dollars in order to do it. Meaning... I enjoy the simple things in life. A simple movie at the show and dinner at home... or a video at home with my boys and some Karaoke with my girls... Or just spending some time with the whole family.

I'd like to meet:

I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!

Right now I'd like to meet some nice people to become friends... Male and female... just to be buddies with... I need to have new positive, supportive, caring people in my life to uplift me as I do them. I give special care, attention and support to all my friends but it is not always reciprocated. I just need some stability in my life. Hoping to find some nice people that are going to be as genuine as I am to them.

And a nice, intelligent, God-fearing, respectable man would be nice, as well... but it seems these days that they are few and far between. Maybe once I develop a better relationship with myself and the Lord then He'll put Mr. Right into my life. So, for right now, I am not on MySpace.com looking for him. LOL

Music:

I am the biggest R&B fan... Mostly of old school. Back when music had soul. I do like all kinds of music, though. Like Country, alternative, and pop... But when it is all said and done R&B is my heart... PERIOD

Movies:

Again, I'm stuck in the old days with some of these... Coming to America... Throw Momma from the Train... Moving (with Richard Pryor), Lady sings the Blues (my all time favorite movie ever). Harlem Nights, Fighting Temptations, Anything and everything by Tyler Perry... and many more.

Television:

Not a big TV watcher, but I do love to watch Project Runway, Design Star, and anything on the food network... because I just LOVE TO COOK!!!

Books:

Since I love to read this little section might be long... Let's see... Anything Eric Jerome Dickey. His last book Genevieve was off the hook...and the ending was way more than I was expecting... I love Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Omar Tyree, Zane, E. Lynn Harris, Brenda L. Thomas, Valeria Wilson Wesley, Michael Connelly, Edwin Torres (Carlito's Way is sooooo good) Mary Higgins Clark,

Heroes:

My girls of course... Of course, Oprah... she's the most successful black woman on the planet. And Tyler Perry, his story is so inspiring. I love them both to pieces!
