About Me

A few things happening:

We will be in Spain again soon for the Lemon Pop Festival in Murcia on September 6th. We're all looking forward to that and hoping that loads of you can come along and enjoy what should prove to be an excellent event. Don't forget to say hello!
US shows: Still nothing booked for this year so far but we are looking into all possibilities for US shows whenever it becomes possible - If any US promoters would like us to play in their venue or town please get in touch soon. It's been far too long since we played anywhere Stateside! Let's make it happen...

Music:

Band Website: highllamas.com
Band Members: Sean O'Hagan - Rob Allum - Marcus Holdaway - Jon Fell - . . . . . . . . . augmented by Pete Aves, Dominic Murcott and John Bennet
Influences: Welcome to South London..... Rob, Jon, Marcus, Pete, Dom and I manage to get a record out every 3 years now, and that time has come around. It's always a special moment in our lives. There will be shows sprung upon you in unsuspecting places and venues. We await the flood of joy... It's coming! Our influences are Harry Worth (long gone British comedian) and Bob Lind (the early Stuff ) and all the obvious ones that are spotted and documented. Players should be open about influence. It's the gift we hand around. For instance, a cool influence of ours might be Moondog or Donny Hathaway, Gary Usher or the John Philips solo albums, but I would not be honest if I did not also say that it was Madness, Jerry Dammers, The Pop Group, Scritti Politti, Suicide, The Undertones etc that got me playing music in 1980...Sean.
