About Me

Craig Mouton was born in Oxen Hill, Maryland and raised in Gueydan, Louisiana. Craig started playing music at the age of 8, on a Hagstrom bass that his grandfather loaned him. Craig's passion, at the time, was Canadian trio Rush. "I used to sit in my room for hours and play along with Moving Pictures", says Mouton. By age 15 Craig fronted a classic rock/blues band called The Blues Boys with co-founder and lead guitarist Bobby Broussard. The Blues Boys played the local clubs for about 4 years and was dissolved shortly after high school graduation. "After The Blues Boys split, I just drifted from band to band. I really wasn't having fun playing the bass anymore so I switched to lead guitar". As a lead guitarist Craig played with several cover bands such as, Side Treck, Nobody's Puppets, Bad Luck, Five Angry White Men, and R&B trio Buster Boogie. By 1998 Mouton grew tired of playing cover songs and co-founded Dogmata with long time friend Keith Hebert. Dogmata disbanded in early 2002, at which point Craig switched back to bass and joined Sleeping Village. In early 2006 Mouton decided it was time to start his, long drempt of, R&B project.
