I am here for Dating, Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm looking for Shawn(sp?) Capri. I lived with him on Vine St. the first half of 1993. If you know where he is send me an email, please.
Music is a large part of my life, always has been. My mom started me on Jimi and Janis. Now I listen to everything from Mozart to Metallica, Cab Calloway to Combichrist, and Dave Matthews to Dimmu Borgir (I DETEST rap and country). My favorite genre, however, is Industrial, followed closely by Death Metal. I have several friends who are in bands, some of which have lived with me, now that's an interesting experience.... There is nothing like waking up in the middle of the night with the munchies and having to walk carefully over and around bodies to get to the kitchen. But I digress...
Needless to say, I go to a lot of local shows. I also like to go clubbing and get out on the dance floor and shake my ass. Now for the frightening part...I can sing, too. Not professionally (anymore), but I do sing along with my tunes...badly if I have to!
What this all boils down to is that I am an audiophile. Now, you're gonna say, "But loving music doesn't make you an audiophile." And I know this, I feel that if you love music this much, it goes without saying that you are an audiophile. You have to have the sound quality to go with the music, otherwise it's distorted. So, yes, it really does make one an audiophile.
Here's a little known fact about me: I love photography. I don't have the coolest equipment on the block, but I do take decent photos. Some of them I am quite proud of. My subject of choice is nature, I have my camera on me every time I go to the mountains and I take lots of pix. I also appreciate others' work and collect great photos of mountains and flowers.
And you can't live in Colorado and not like the outdoors! I do almost all of the "Colorado" things: camping, hiking, fishing, 4 wheeling. But I do NOT ski, I can't find tying planks of waxed wood on your feet and going down a mountain exciting. There is just something wrong with that, as far as I am concerned. But that's enough about me...
Here is an awesome example of the RIGHT way to code physics... (grab a body part with your mouse and pull....)

My Interests

This had me screaming with laughter! I don't normally like comedy, but this man had me literally rolling on the floor! Jeff Dunham with Peanut (and Jose Jalapeño (on a steek)) from "Arguing With Myself" - there are 3 parts to this...

Number 1

Number 2

Number 3

Here is the newest skit with Peanut from "Spark of Insanity" Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

And we can't forget about Achmed.... the dead terrorist... SILENCE! I kill you...

Good tunes, good friends, good times! If there is no laughter, there is no reason to live. Four wheeling, cranking the tunes, turning heads, and rockin some worlds (not to mention having mine rocked every once in awhile!)! Gotta love life!!!!

My FAVORITE episode of Foamy!

This is proof that FedEx drivers need more training...

I'd like to meet:

People who enjoy life, those who know how to have a good time, and those who know how to laugh! I'm always looking for new experiences, new ways of doing things, experimenting with the hand that life has dealt me, and seeing where I can go from here.

Get out, see the sun, visit the moon, and say hello to the stars for me!

Check these guys out! Sanguine Addiction out of Colorado Springs -

Sound advice ^

Music:

Don't forget to support your local music! Every band has to start somewhere and they need your support!

Music is a large part of my life (as you have already read). Updating the music player... Here's what I have so far, I'm a lazy bitch! I haven't uploaded any more music of late... deal with it!)

Movies:

Anything with lots of explosions (Transformers), car chases (Bourne Ultimatum), space travel (Sunshine), and a sexy man (The Game Plan, War, 3:10 to Yuma, XXX, and the like)... Notice a theme here? Get the feeling that I like "manly" movies, I can't stand "chick flicks"! They bore me to death. I also enjoy a good psychological horror flick every now and then (the Saw series).

Television:

The XBOX 360 dominates it's existence (stuck on Burnout Revenge, the best racing game on the market!), but I now find time for the news occasionally. And maybe an episode of Bones, House, or CSI:New York. But for the most part, it sits silently, patiently waiting for an opportunity to show off...

Books:

I read... I read a LOT! I enjoy sci-fi mainly, but I'll read anything that catches my interest. That means the occasional action/adventure novel, or trashy romance (when I'm in the mood), or mystery. I also read a shitload of history books, Egypt is the subject of choice there. I have an extensive collection of books about astronomy, astrophysics, cosmology, mathematics, and theoretical physics.

Heroes:

Carl Sagan and Stephen Hawking because both of these men are brilliant, but I have to add Michio Kaku to the list, mainly for the sex appeal.
What kind of 'witch' are you?
You are a spirit witch. Many envy you because you draw your power from within. A mix of all resides within your vital spirit and makes you what is called a "natural" witch. Lucky you. Your powers of intuition are extraordinary, you're intelligent, creative, and beautiful but have a sense of mystery about you. You have a tendency to stay invisible and don't like a lot of attention. You have a strong urge to travel and most likely have already been further than most.

You are The Star

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realized

The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one.

What does your zodiac sign say about you?
Scorpio is the eighth sign of the zodiac, being a fixed water or icy sign. In appearance you will be found to be well proportioned, strong in body, muscular, with a broad face and majestic, commanding look. You are a Scorpio and therefore ruled by the enigmatic planet Pluto and also fiery and aggressive Mars. So why are you referred to as icy? Scorpio is probably the most misunderstood sign and has unfortunately received a very bad reputation over the years. This iciness is only the surface of your deep and complex nature. Below this surface of your cool exterior, you're true scorching nature blazes! You're passionate and express that passion in everything you do. In a crowded room your aura stands out not because of anything you may say or do. But being the strong quiet type, you possess a deafening silence that makes it near impossible for others to ignore you. As a Scorpio you're controlled and know full well that this magnetism can manipulate anyone and everyone who comes within your orb. And you love it! This secretive and enigmatic energy of yours is probably your greatest strength. You are also very loyal and trustworthy and can honor and maintain the secrets entrusted to you. Determination is another of your key words yet; by the same token, you appear aloof and thoroughly insensitive to others needs as you push forward to achieve your goals, almost obsessively. You have no fear of obstacles or challenges that come your way either naturally or placed there by foes and competitors. In fact, you thrive on it. There's a saying, "a teabag tastes better in hot water" and this applies perfectly to your Scorpio philosophy. Corner you or put you in a difficult situation and watch that Plutonic flavor brew as your competitive nature comes to the fore! If someone decides to challenge you, they'd better be sure they're ready to give it their best fight because you won't give in until the job is done and your enemy totally crushed in body, mind, and spirit! If that ruthless act can't be executed immediately, you will wait. Time is of no consequence to you when you decide to wreak your vengeance on an unlucky recipient. Whether trying to fulfill your more sensual appetite or the more noble spiritual aspirations within, all pleasure becomes your Scorpio domain. You want it all. You are a born investigator and explorer and need to experience the full spectrum of sensations in your life. This attitude encompasses the fearlessness of Scorpio at every level of your being. But its a well-known fact: never double-cross a Scorpio. You will not rest until you have executed your revenge! You'll shut out forever those who dishonor you by betraying your trust.
