MY NAME IS REYNARD
... nice to meet you.
My name is Reynard Silva. I am 21 years old and reside in sunny Northern California (in the BAY AREA). Music is my passion. I can't live without it. Writing, singing, making beats... it's a MUST in my life. Performing is pure joy to me. I love performing. With my band (Stage II) or on my own, I love reaching out to others through my music.
I write my music based on past experiences and situations. Whether it be good times or bad, we all go through different events in our lives, and I write about EVERY single event that has changed my perspective in life and has changed me into a better person. Whatever song you hear of mine, I try to relay it to y'all in a way in which you can totally understand, and at the same time, enjoy.
My number one priority in life is serving God and JC. INC for life. Everything I do revolves around it. I go to school at Cal State East Bay. School's tough as hell, but it's something that's gotta be done!! I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. Just living a simple, innocent life is how I want to live. I love movies. Make it a DVD night and I'm good to go. I'm just an ordinary cat who enjoys doing anything and everything. I'm down for whatever.
I'm striving to bring my music to the top... so we'll wait and see where life takes me. I know there's a lot of y'all who doubt me, not only for my talents, but also for my identity of who I am and how I look. It's time to cross over the racial barriers in the mainstream music industry. Sure, it hasn't been done in the Asian-American scene; but it doesn't mean it will never be done. It's going to be done very soon... and I'm going to strive to be a part of that struggle. To those who continuously put me down: it is ALL GOOD. You not only make me a stronger person, but you give me even more motivation to be successful. And to those who dedicate their lives to their music, don't give up. Keep doing your thing. Cause our time will come....
