These six guys, Allan (vocals | 2nd keys | co-musical director), Aly (vocals | percussion), Chris (vocals | keyboard | co-musical director), Eric (guitar | vocals), Rhys (drummer) and Toots (bass guitar) share the same passion and love for music. Either individually or on separate projects, they have been playing music since childhood, in school, churches, vocal groups and bands – basically, anywhere and everywhere. In the early 2000s, some of the guys came together and formed a musical group only to have it disband a few years later. But in 2007, the inspiration was rekindled and the fellas decided to give it another try. With a few member changes, the band was reborn! And since the band members hailed from all over the bay area, Vallejo, Benicia, Napa and Sacramento, and they were connected by Interstate 80, the name I80 or “Eye Eighty†seemed like a natural fit.As Eye Eighty continues to perform at various venues, the fellas are also working hard in the studio to produce their debut album. With joints like “How We Do†and “Get Looseâ€, their upcoming album will be a must-have hot item ticket for any music lover. Their debut album is due out in September 2009.
