Music:
mmmm, ok. here we go. I am a music nazi and this is an abriged list, I think you'll find they are in alphabetical order starting with some pictures (not counting the word 'the'):
, Right, that's enough pictures for now..... Beangrowers, Beastie Boys, The Beatings, Beck, The Bees, Bent, The Beta Band, Biffy Clyro, The Birthday Party, Bloc Party, Blur, The Breeders, Brendan Benson, Bright Eyes, British Sea Power, The buff Medways, Burning Brides, Buzzcocks, Cakes, The Charlatans, The Chemical Brothers, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Clash, Clearlake, Clinic, The Cooper Temple Clause, The Coral, Cousteau, The Cribs, The Cure, The D4, Daisy Chainsaw, The Damned, The Darling Buds, Dark Star, The Datsuns, David Devant and his Spirit Wife, The Dead 60's, Dean Martin, The Dears, Death Cab for Cutie, Death From Above, Death in Vegas, The Departure, The Delgados, Dennis Waterman, The Detroit Cobras, Dinosaur Jnr, Dizzee Rascal, DJ Shadow, Doves, Echo & the Bunnymen, Echoboy, Ed Hardcourt, Eels, Elastica, Elbow, Electrafixion, Electric Six, Elliot Smith, Elvis Costello, Engineers, Explosions in the Sky..... well that's up to E and I can't be arsed going on much further. Althought The Pixies, Stone Roses, The Raconteurs, Jeff (and Tim) Buckley, QOTSA, Maxmo Park, Radiohead, Sigur Rs and Nirvana would all be in there plus bands you might not know about like Jane Air, Scanners and The Room. After the Leeds festival 2006 add these to the list - Giant Drag, The Like, Eagles of Death Metal and TV on the Radio
Movies:
A few of my favourite films are as follows: Glen Gary, Glenn Ross (is this a boy film? I don't think it has the same effect on girls) - best line? "FU*K YOU, THAT'S MY NAME"; Withnail and I; Dr Strangelove; Deadmans Shoes - Shane Medows has to be one of the best directors around; Clerks - how do you pronounce this film? The Big Labowski.
Books:
Catch 22 is my favourite book or all time I reckon. Is it a boys book though? Ever boy I know who has read it says they love it where as the girls I know who have taken it in never seemed to be as amazed. What else? A Million Little Pieces by James Frey.I like a good non-fiction too, although I have a feeling that my favourite autobiography is pretty much a work of fiction; that being the autobiography of Claus Kinski the german actor. And of course the work of genius that is 'The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy'
