sometimes you just need a bit of sleight of mind to make it all work out.

About Me

..

there were times when i would let this wicked tongue wander, times when i felt disconnected from all that was about me, that some day soon it would inevitably collapse in upon me and i would lay buried and resigned to the inicmal forces about me. then i realized that it wasn't my fault at all, that i could blame scott baio for it all. i've been much better since.

My Interests

sports: soccer (football), rugby, skydiving.pursuits: stained glass, learning russian, writing, metal art.top 5 video games of all time: 5) GoldenEye (N64), 4) Ace Combat 5 (PS2), 3) Combat (Atari) 2) Mario Kart 64 (N64) 1) Super Mario Brothers 2 (NES)

I'd like to meet:

i want to meet 3 types of people. 1) friendly, outgoing individuals who add to the party rather than detract from it. 2) strong-minded ambitious women who are resilient to the bullshit men emit 3) very stupid, very drunk assholes at bars. the first two are self-explanatory. but i really love meeting the third group as they provide me with a perfect opportunity to whet my sarcasm. by about the fourth sentance i should have them fumbling to deflect my torrent. by the eighth, if done properly, they should be crying or trying to fight me. either works.

Music:

TOP FIVE: atmosphere, underworld, bjork, nine inch nails, and depeche mode. EXTREMELY NOTABLE MENTIONS: rachmaninoff, a tribe called quest, talib kweli, mos def, outkast, my life with the thrill kill kult, the gathering, DJ DB, drum and bass in general, frankie knuckles, beethoven (of course), the urge, tenacious d, bad religion, portishead, massive attack, stevie wonder, james brown, parliament, lionel ritchie, marvin gaye, thelonius monk, pharaoh monche, rage against the machine, ladytron, prodigy, the chemical brothers, kittie, nina simone, howlin' wolf, dusty springfield, trampled under foot, sean paul, patsy cline, fallout boy, sepultura, peeping tom, the "oh brother, where art thou" soundtrack, justin timberlake (fuck you for judging me, hee hee hee), the beatles, deee-lite, qbert, russian folk music, tool/a perfect circle, garbage, juno reactor, social distortion, david bowie, ad infinitum.

Movies:

clerks, hackers, trainspotting, fight club, office space, caddyshack, annie hall, wedding crashers, blazing saddles, the salton sea, the saint, and so on...

Television:

Eureka, Heroes, Dirty Jobs, American Chopper, Great Biker Buildoff, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Family Guy, Futurama, Robot Chicken, Arsenal Football on Saturdays, UEFA games as appropriate, and even though i hate to admit it: Parental Control on MTV *ducks to avoid thrown objects*. cuz come on, that shit is funny when the asshole boyfriend/girlfriend get's left on TV.

Books:

authors: w. somerset maugham, yevgeny zamyatin, aleksandr solzhenitsyn, chuck palahniuk, william gibson, gabriel garcia marquez, milan kundera, aldous huxley, herman hesse, john steinbeck, nick hornby, f. scott fitzgerald, tom robbins, hunter s. thompson, william s. burroughs, john iriving, irvine welsh, etc...

Heroes:

ghandi and buddha. otherwise, they're all nearly as normal and un-heroic as me - with the following specific exceptions: the guy who pulled my brother out of the wreckage of his burning truck and saved his life, the soldiers dying all over the world for me, and all those firefighters in NY on 9/11.
