House music all night long!!!!

About Me

STANK-DUBZ BIONew York City has spawned countless House legends – from the original House maestro Larry Levan at the incomparable Paradise Garage, to Little Louie Vega, Masters at Work, and Body & Soul veterans Francois-K, Danny Krivit and Joe Clausell. Today, a new generation of House DJ's is emerging in the city that never sleeps, and at the forefront of the scene is genre-busting duo Stank-Dubz. It has been 15 years since Dwight Green and Jason "J-Biggz" Reedy first met in Virginia Beach – a city far removed from NYC – but one also known for generating musical genius, as it is home to such Hip Hop heavyweights and master beat-makers as Missy Elliott, Timbaland, The Neptunes and The Clipse. The two friends met while playing tuba in high school band and quickly bonded over their shared love of Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Disco, Rare Groove, Jazz and House. Green and Reedy eventually relocated to Washington D.C., amassing an impressive collection of vinyl along the way. In 2001 Green and Reedy moved to Brooklyn, New York, determined to breathe some life into the city's fading underground house scene and bring a fresh, new edge into the mix… and thus, Stank-Dubz was born.Stank-Dubz has hosted some of New York's most well loved, House parties, one-offs and events, at venues such as Casa Mexicana, Café Novecento, Carnivale, Naked Lunch, Leopard Lounge and Tribe, to name a few. The duo has also played at numerous locales including Plant Bar, M Bar, Guernica, Abaya, Laila Lounge and Galapagos. In the Washington D.C. Metro area, they have played at Five, Gallery and The Edge, and opened up for the likes of Derrick Carter and Doc Martin. Today, their soulful, Hip Hop and Disco infused tracks are in demand on the dance floor, and on both national and international labels. The Stank-Dubz EP "Ghetto Cornmuffins," featuring the already popular "Tina's Groove," as well as "These Styles" and "Everybody," will be released on Alphabet Music in early 2008, and their EP "Canadian Bacon" will be released on Dav and Leon Louder's Kinjo later this year. In addition, the duo will release two remixes on German label Shak Digital in late 2007. Not everyone understands house music, but Dwight Green and Jason Reedy certainly do.For more information and/or bookings, contact [email protected], or visit www.myspace.com/stankdubz... .."The Canadian Bacon" E.P.promo's available exclusively here : http://www.junodownload.com/ppps/products/1287032-01.htm& ;highlight=kinjo
