Saw quite a few good flicks recently.MirrorMask! That was pretty great. The overall story was kinda typical, as far as fantasy films go, but the kinda twisted imaginative vision of the other realm was impressive and all the animation was really well done. I loved the soundtrack too. Kind of a gypsy-jazz thing going on.
The Departed was awesome. I thought I'd be disappointed, as it was a pretty hyped up film, but I was pretty blown away by it. Also finally watched Taxi Driver for the first time not too long ago. I wished I had a mohawk for a few days after seeing it. Pretty good ending.

Last thing to read was Piers Anthony's "On a Pale Horse." Killing Death, becoming him, speeding around on a flying white horse that turns into tricked out roadster, reaping souls, outwitting Satan, and saving the girl. Now that's what I call a fucking book! Definitely reading things to take my mind off the shitty, boring ass real world we live in and transport me to another dimension.
