I have a lot of different sides to "me". On one hand, I am a college graduate. I value education in all its forms. In the end, I will probably never stop going to school in one form or another. I have an associates degree for Massage Therapy. I'm thinking the next step will be an understudy for Chiropractic school. I have a lot of education goals, though. One day, I would love to attend culinary school. I just started taking Tae Kwon Do back in April '07. I'm now a 3R Blue Belt. I test again for 2 R or D Red Belt on April 19, '08 On February the 16th. If you are interested in taking a martial Art...give my instructors a call at...(901) 827-7601 (ok I did my part, Mr. Tim!!!)On the other hand, I guess alot of people would say I have redneck qualities,although I hide them well. I grew up in the country. As a result, I'm very much a tom boy... I love to hunt, fish, camp, hike, explore the woods, explore caves, climb trees, swim. I love the outdoors. I live in the city, now, so it's been a long time since I've been able to do any of that stuff, but I love it all the same.I'm a closet Goth. When I was younger...bear in mind that I am from Arkansas, I didn't even know what Gothic culture was. If someone said "goth" to me I automatically thought of Kurgan from Highlander...cool imagery, but....NO! I guess it all started with my tendency to wear black ALL THE TIME!!!! but it grew from there. then with the advent of movies like the Crow and Donnie Darko...I was introduced to more and more of the concept....Goth to me is a state of mind. You won't find any piercings on me...I have a few cool pieces of clothing, but you won't see me wearing them often unless by chance I get to go to MIG. I have a normal Vanilla job...and pretty much a normal Vanilla life...but there is something inside me that rises up every so often that is definitely NOT normal.I love to write. Mostly poetry and a short story or two. I don't write often anymore. Everyday life and the introduction of a few choice jerks in my life have nearly driven my muse from me...when I completely stop, that will mean that a big part of me has died. I don't know how to stop it. I feel it dying a little more each day.I love music. I love to play guitar, but like a lot of other things I love, I haven't done it in a while.I am sort of self taught...started when I was 7...I am seriously cosidering taking lessons, so that I can actually say that I really play...not just play at it.I have a tendency to shoot myself in the foot when it comes to romantic relationships. When I love someone, there is nothing I won't do for them. Sometimes that leaves me very vounerable. I am massichistic when it comes to hanging on to what I so desparately want. A lot of the time, that results in self inflicted misery. Couple that with the fact that I can write anything, but when it comes time to say what I feel, I feel an actual physical blockage... the words come to my throat and can go no further...Luckily, I am fortunate enough to have a fiance who knows me very well. He pays very close attention to me, and he seems to know what I am thinking before I do... My time with him is very precious to me. I've lost him twice before...I won't lose him again. I am due to be married in March of 2009... I haven't set the day, yet...but I'm SOOOOOOO happy!!!!!So,if you have made it through all this, I congratulate you. I'm also pretty sure you've learned more than you ever wanted to know about me. I do have a lighter side, I promise. Sometimes finding it is a bit difficult lately. Please bear in mind that this is a work in progress. I've just run out of time on another sleepless night.
