I enjoy boating, fishing,Camping, the mountains, that great smell of damp leaves & woodsmoke on a crisp day in the woods! Smell of the marshes at low tide... Sounds of the owls at night.I love to read...esp good books loaned by friends. For fun I paint...and do pottery,etc.I'm learning the Real Estate biz right now so although sometimes a struggle, never boring!Learning Spanish is next...and when time allows, long to travel Central America,Argentina, Venezuela....I like to rollerblade...and Horseback riding thru the mountain trails, and along the beach, is heaven for me!I really enjoy cooking...and cooking for my friends/family is one of my greatest pleasures. Been in and out of the restaurant biz for many years...and I enjoy trying new places out. There's not a food I dislike (so far)...uhhh, well maybe "Chittlings".I love good wines....that's my drink-of-choice. Not a beer or liquor drinker. (well...maybe a good martini ...but rarely) I enjoy learning about wines...it's an ART! Pairing with foods, etc.And one Passion...PLEASE PLEASE do NOT Buy a pet from a Pet Store!!! They "buy" pups from Puppy Mills...cruelty beyond belief. Go to a REPUTABLE breeder or RESCUE! PLEASE!
I'd like to meet:
I am REALLY drawn to intelligence and humor(who isn't...HAHA!) and I enjoy being around people who never give up. I am a very loyal person and like that aspect in others. Tolerance of others, and being openminded are really important characteristics for me.I'm pretty turned off by cigs...especially in intimate relationships (even tho I do have friends/family who do it & they wish they didn't! )I like independant thinkers...no "in-the-box" stuff. And I think self-confidence (NOT arrogance!!) and being able to laugh at oneself are great traits!Life is short...gotta embrace it NOW...not tomorrow!I have never been chronological in my friendships...I have friends way younger than I, as well as older. It is the inside spirit and passion that makes the person!YAY!

Fairly Eclectic...look into my CDs and you will see the gambit. From Butt Hole Surfers, to Chopin. There's not really any music I can truly say I DON'T like. (Even like some rap! LOL!) I AM partial to the Blues tho (Delbert McClinton for one!), old and new...and old rock & roll. Love to dance (am alful tho) and nothing beats LIVE music venues!

Movies:
Not a big movie watcher...go into town to see one maybe a year. If I rent them I sometimes forget to watch them...BUT, once they come on HBO,etc. I will. I like old movies...and movies like "What's Eating Gilbert Grape", "Benny & Joon", "Girl in a Cafe", most comedy-humorous movies, and Sundance Channel can be addicting.
Television:
Background Noise...HEH! But if I turn it on I'm stuck! HaHa! Boston Legal, Jon Stewart, History and Comedy Channels, as well as Food Channels...Curb Your Enthusiasm, House, and see!? I am easily hooked in..HA!
Books:
TOOOOO many! (Wally Lamb, Anne Tyler, Hiaasen...and many others. Hunter Thompson, rest-in-peace.) Many books I have read are by writers who are rather obscure. My sis & my friends are voracious readers so I get their cast-offs! It's great! Never have to buy a book! ;)
