About Me

I'm happy to report that there's been 4 exciting developments in my working life at the moment. Firstly, I have joined the fabulous Juice 107.2 as Programme Manager, here in Brighton.I also recently held a 'compering' masterclass giving advice/top tips on how to become a great event host. Plus, I've been working closely with newly signed bands on how to deal with the media, ie interviewing techniques, how to avoid those nasty, probing questions and how best to represent yourselves. And finally, after a mini break whilst I settled into Juice, I am back with avengence sourcing unsigned bands for ad syncing projects. I've pitched for several big name brands recently and am on the look out for fantastic tracks, in any genre. Please bear in mind that I'm honest and direct and know what I like!I love music, love people. Love quirky, flamboyancy, thoughtfulness, left-of-centre, honesty, adventure and (justified) self-belief.I've been fortunate enough to spend almost all my working life in the entertainment industry. I am still working as a freelance writer/broadcaster/voice over artist for a variety of TV and radio shows including host of 'The Digest' on Oneword Radio, showbiz pundit and cultural commentator and narrator of the "All Access Series" on MTV/VH1/TMF. I'm also developing a couple of tv show (a documentary and a black comedy series, a novel and a board game.I also interview artists for DVD/EPK purposes and have had the pleasure of probing artists such as Fatboy Slim, Ocean Colour Scene, X-Press 2 and The Freemasons for these purposes. I've media trained music and fashion students and hosted a variety of corporate events.Up until recently I was the entertainment news presenter in the Jo Whiley show on Radio 1 where I worked with a lot of creative and innovative people and interviewed practically anyone who's anyone in the entertainment world. It also led to me hosting 'The Sunday Surgery' where I helped listeners with their dilemmas - a very humbling experience.I've appeared on a huge variety of shows as a cutural commentator/showbiz pundit - Richard and Judy still being a massive highlight. I've also appeared on: Big Brother Little Brother, Fame Academy, Liquid News, News 24, Woman's Hour, numerous shows on Radio 5, regional radio and a variety of those 'talking heads-style "50 most embarassing celeb moments" type of shows on Sky etc.
