"Music is endless and even though I've heard a whole bunch of music, from so many different places and fallen in love countless times with all kinds of music, there's still something...I guess it's just called freedom."
- Jeff Buckley
"You are NOT an artist simply because you write, play and/or sing. You are a musician and a performer... To qualify as an artist, you need to create something that changes the way people feel, hear and think. Even in times when the people are pious, God may grant us a handful of true artists per age."
- Bob Ezrin
"Somebody asked me what I wanted to do and I just I wanted to just to give back to it what's given me and to meet all the other people that are doing it and just to be in the world really."

- Jeff Buckley
"Without music, life would be a mistake."
- Nietzche
"Music was invented to confirm human loneliness."
- Lawrence Durred
"Music is the shorthand of emotion."
- Leo Tolstoy
"Music expresses that which cannot be said on which it is impossible to be silent."
- Victor Hugo
"Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and charm and gaiety to life and everything."
- Plato
"A painter paints pictures on canvas. But musicians paint their pictures on silence."
-Leopole Stokowski
"See deep enough, and you see musically; the heart of nature being everywhere music."
- Thomas Carlyle
"Music can name the un-nameable and communicate the unknowable."
- Leonard Bernstein
"In the end I think of music as saving grace for all humanity."
- Henry Miller
"Music is well said to be the speech of angels; in fact nothing among the utterances allowed to man is felt to be so devine. It brings us near to the infinite."
- Thomas Carlyle
"But then, no artist is normal; if he were, he wouldn't be an artist. Normal men don't create works of art. They eat, sleep, hold down rutine jobs, and die. You are hyper-sensitive to life and nature; that's why you are able to interpret for the rest of us. But be careful, that very hyper-sensitiveness will lead you to your own destruction. The strain of it breaks every artist in time"
- Irving Stone, Lust for Life
"And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my Hallam."
- The Movie Quote Generator
Yes, I am "that guy" from Disc Mania! I am there 5-6 days a week so chances are thats where you've seen me before! It goes well. But believe it or not there other things to me than my work environment:
I was born in Sydney. Lived in Papua New Guniea for 5 years. Moved to Bowral in 1996. LOVE music. I play bass and guitar and used to DJ. Favourite instrument is probably bass (mainly cause I'm better at that than anything else). But I really love accoustic guitar too and often play and sing on that. Bass influences would be Flea, Les Claypool, Jaco Pastorius, Justin Chancellor. Guitar influences: Johnny Rzeznik, John Frusciante, Jimmy Williams, Billy Howedell, John Butler, James Blunt (more as a singer/songwriter), Tom Morello (The man who made me want to play guitar!), Adam Lester, Buckethead & Andrew Kitchen. Played in a couple of bands, idioSyncrasy in particular released a cd and played alot of gigs. One time we played in front of 700 people. We also started a riot. Ah the memories. You can hear my music at www.mp3.com.au/hallamd and www.myspace.com/idiosyncrasyband Moved to Batemans Bay for a year in 2005. Now back in Bowral as of Jan 2006.
