With humble beginnings in 2007 in Sydney's south, sprung ENTROPY. A band that will tear away all concepts of the sub genres which have appeared within the heavy rock and metal scenes. ENTROPY consists of five very talented members who have managed to connect in such a musically inspiring way, that already their songs have started to excite fans and industry professionals.
ENTROPY's drummer, Joel is a thrilling progressive percussionist, while guitarists Geoff and AJ, provide sonically and dynamically awe inspiring musical landscapes with their down tuned baritone axes. Kyle, the band's bass player provides an interesting link between the two whilst also being one of the most powerful musical and on stage presences that the Sydney music scene will ever see. Vocalist Josh is the final piece to this progressive outfit, always producing intensity whilst maintaining a strong commitment to his vocal artistry. The entire band, while always allowing themselves to be swept up into the sheer ferocious energy of thier music, always sound tight and the music never suffers; be it on stage or in the studio.
ENTROPY is no stranger to the stage, performing on many, from Canberra to Wollongong and Sydney including The Greenroom-Phillip, ACT, The Oxford Tavern-Wollongong and The Live House-Lewisham Hotel-Sydney. They won The JimBeam Storm The Stage Band Competition in 2007 and came second in The Wollongong Uni Centre Band Competition 2008.
ENTROPY's Music is such as can only be defined by the word progressive. Their art is in the way they mould their influences into something which is so easily definable as ENTROPY, yet cannot be intrinsically linked to any other one source. Fans of any brand of progressive heavy rock or metal outfit will find something to like in ENTROPY's music, something that no other local band can proclaim. Their talent and style will thrill and move you, excite you and blow you away. No one in Australia can afford not to pay attention to this band, nor would you want to.
Entropy loves playing music, drinking beer, walking in waist deep water (whilst drinking beer), and is quite partial to gifts.
