I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm one great big festering neon distraction. I'm made of sugar, spice, and hypocritical veiws on the world. Always conflicted. I'm the nicest person you know, and I bitch and whine about everything. I have values and morals and a sin list a mile long, but hey, do as I say not as I do. Right? I'm a fangirl to the core. I love being in Love. I'm in love with everyone I know. Except you, I probably hate you. There I go again. I have confidence but no esteeme. Don't get the two confused. Be gentle with me, please?

My Interests

fairy tales and mythology, the supernatural, concerts, shadowcasting, movies, cosplay, pinups, photography, barbies, dolls, spoons, Harley Quinn, comics, literature, the arts, expression, story telling, Disney, activism, ancient egypt, a job well done, dreams, honesty, intercourse, human interactions, tea parties, road trips, anime, cartoons, glittery things... a lot. I'm easily amused.

I'd like to meet:

Adam Duritz of The Counting Crows, Various internet friends, a few online comic artists/writers, and your mom.

Music:

I've given up trying to define my music tastes, or pick a sampling of my favorite artists consise enough to keep your attention while being diverse enough to express who I am. Just know I love music. I use music to define people I know, moods I'm in, periods of time, points in history, the air I breathe. I live for live concerts. I'll probably end up in jail for illegal downloading. I'm almost out of room in my 200slot cd case. I'd be lost without music.

Movies:

SO MANY MOVIES. Breakfast Club, Interview with the Vampire, Fifth Element, Arsenic and Old Lace, most Robin Williams, most Steve Martin, most Sean Connery (No, seriously), most Nicolas Cage, many musicals (My Fair Lady!), Drop Dead Fred, Nightmare Before Christmas, Perfect Blue (anime counts, doesn't it?), Some of the Star Trek movies, lots of Cusack (John and Joan),The Glass Slipper (1955), V for Vendetta, Love Actually and just... lots of others. Lots and lots.

Television:

I'm a sucker for so many cartoons. I've also given hours of my life to My So Called Life, Roswell, Dead Like Me, and various Disney/Nickelodeon/Cartoon Network programming I should be too old to enjoy this much.

Books:

It's hard to remember them all, so I'll go with Good Omens by Terry Pratchet + Neil Gaiman and the whole Little House series by Laura Ingels Wilder

Heroes:

My family, Walt Disney, Adam Duritz, anyone who's done the impossible, anyone who's righted wrongs and triumphed over evil, anyone who's fought for a true cause, anyone who actually tries to save the earth and doesn't just talk about it on earth day, and... uhm... your mom.

My Blog

I still hate myspace

I've got a facebook now, although I only ignore that slightly less than this place. Amy Marie Taylor. Pizza Hut has cheated us out of almost £3000.  We finally quit.  We're now out of work a...

Momma Hen

It either says something about my love, concern, and care for others OR my ego that one of the main things I miss about Orlando was keeping friends out of trouble and away from bad ideas.  I have...

I like Julie Andrews

Just saw Star for the first time.  Warning: the movie is like two hours long.   I woke up, went downstairs to pee, popped my head in the kitchen to say hello to father in law.  Not...

I hate myspace, but without it I wouldn't be able to keep in contact with at least half of my friends.  How sad!  I miss everyone.  Things here are getting better.  Like, we have ...

My heart runs on Diesel sweeties.

Lots of years ago I joined the internet.  My friend Kate introduced me to Live journal.  I think it was on LJ that someone linked me to my first online comic. Now, technically, http://w...

I long for the boredom days.

Well... not really.  But everything's changing.  Everyone's moving.  And very few people ever actually keep in touch.  Thank goodness for the internet.  But even that's faulty...

Reefer Madness

It was a documentary made in 1936 about the evils of weed. It was then a parody musical about the documentary. Then they put the musical on DVD. And now we're shadowcasting it.  We do Rocky Horr...
