About Me

Check Out The Laboratory - Steve and Aaron's new Music Shop
A brief history. TEOS formed in 2000. The original line-up included Aaron Barbarics (Orchid, 707, The Eye) and Adam Lefkowitz (Pale Blue, The Eye) on guitars, Marcus Ferriera on bass, Steve Delaney (Satanic Butt Slayer, Xung, Tin Ear) on drums, and Eric Rossi (Paymess Duke) on vocals. The same year this line up recorded the band's only official release- an EP titled The Evil Operating System.
The band played many shows over the next couple years, primarily in the Philadelphia area, but occassionally venturing to other parts. This early period was quite successful and exciting for the band, which seemed poised to leap to the next level. In this early period, the band was fairly stable as there was only one line up change. This was at the bass position, where Clint Arent (Lowjack) replaced Marcus Ferriera. At this point, the band was drawing very well and riding high. The changes that followed, though, proved in the long run to damage the chemistry of the band irrecoverably, although just a little at a time.
First, and probably most significant of all the changes, was the band parting ways with vocalist Eric Rossi. This was the position that from then on was the most turbulent. There are some tracks recorded with Eric that were never released. After Eric came Steven Statland (Hat Trick of Misery). There were only two shows played and no recordings of this line up. Then Steven was replaced by Frank DeHaven (Supernatural BirthMachine). This line up played a handful of shows and recorded a few unreleased demo tracks. Frank left the band after a short tenure, and was replaced by Danny Knight.
Soon after Danny joined, Adam Lefkowitz departed. Adam was replaced by Mike Scarpato (Orchid, Scream Clan, CreekRoad). After a couple shows and a couple unreleased demo tracks were recorded, the band split with Danny. A short while after that came the departure of Clint Arent and Mike Scarpato. Leaving only Aaron Barbarics and Steve Delaney, the two recorded The Broken King (with Clint filling in on bass) in 2006.
Presently, Steve and Aaron have turned their attention to the opening of their new music store, The Laboratory , in Deptford, NJ. TEOS is on hiatus for the moment, but a return to the stage should not be ruled out!
TEOS shared the stage with Metal Church, McBrain Damage (featuring Nicko McBrain of Iron Maiden), Pigmy Love Circus (featuring Danny Carey of Tool), Josh Todd (Buckcherry), Danko Jones, Dog Fashion Disco, Seven Witches, and the Atomic Bitchwax (featuring members of Monster Magnet). The band has appeared at March Metal Meltdown VI, Metal Mindrage II, Florida Music Festival 2004, and Millenium Music Conference 2004. Also in 2001, the band was the regional winner in the Rolling Rock/Hard Rock Cafe band contest, making it to the national round where they were one of 5 finalists.
