About Me

My Band Bio by Jeff Semple It all started in 1986 when I wrote my first hit song, "Here Come The Cops". My brother, Jay helped me perfom the song in front of a packed out playroom with some big celebrities such as, Papa Smurf, Tigger, He-Man, and the entire crew of the Millenium Falcon.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: purevolume.com/jeffreyscottsemple
Band Members: Jeff Semple and really anyone else who would like to help me record an incredibly amazing album!
Influences: I don't know. This one is always a tough one for me to define. Because I don't feel as influenced by music as I am by people and life experiences. With that being said, I want to say my wife Heather, and my daughter Ailee are the frontrunners for influences in my music. I have also borrowed a few lyrical interpretations from the Bible. It's got a lot of good stuff for songs, you know. To David Crowder: you influenced me at an early age to sing at summer camps using more than one guitar. To Celeste Matthews: you played the requests and you helped people find true love through sappy 80's ballads that I listened to religiously. To Circadian Rhythm: Andy, Will, Paul, Dan, Aaron you guys really took "singing to God" and made it "Something Glorious". To Bono: Um yeah, I guess since we talk a lot on the phone I don't need to really write something here. Music is constanly rotating for me. The lyrics that I really like could be found from people like Bono, Chris Martin, James Blunt, David Gray, Tracy Chapman, Leigh Nash, John Mayer, & Dave Crowder. For those who have influenced me, or are influencing me, I say thank you for your influence.
Sounds Like: Jeff playing his guitar. What I hope for, is that someday it will sound like a professionally recorded full length album that everyone will listen to.
