I am here for Friends

About Me

I moved from San Diego, CA to Kansas City, MO five years ago to attend Nazarene Theological Seminary. I managed to finish in May 07' with an M.A. in Intercultural Studies. I spent the better part of the last three years as Worship & Arts Pastor for BreakPointe Community Church, whom I loved. I have decided that the next time I give my heart to a group of people like that I'm going to be sure I can stay a while. So I am currently church homeless. I haven't exactly figured out the next part in my journey, so I figure I'll stay a while, hoping God will soon provide means and oportunity for escape.I've lived in seven different states--California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, Nevada (for one summer), Kansas and Missouri, which makes the where are you from question kind of confusing. I am fourth out of five kids, and the only girl. My dad is a minister, but I think I'm one of the rare PK's that isn't totally messed up. I'm addicted to change, and constantly battle with restlessness, but I like to think it’s just a symptom of creativity.
You Are An ENFJ
The Giver
You strive to maintain harmony in relationships, and usually succeed.
Articulate and enthusiastic, you are good at making personal connections.
Sometimes you idealize relationships too much - and end up being let down.
You find the most energy and comfort in social situations ... where you shine.
In love, you are very protective and supporting.
However, you do need to "feel special" - and it's quite easy for you to get jealous.
At work, you are a natural leader. You can help people discover their greatest potential.
You would make a good writer, human resources director, or psychologist.
How you see yourself: Trusting, idealistic, and expressive
When other people don't get you, they see you as: Bossy, inappropriate, and loud What's Your Personality Type?
You scored as Neo orthodox. You are neo-orthodox. You reject the human-centredness and scepticism of liberal theology, but neither do you go to the other extreme and make the Bible the central issue for faith. You believe that Christ is God's most important revelation to humanity, and the Trinity is hugely important in your theology. The Bible is also important because it points us to the revelation of Christ. You are influenced by Karl Barth and P T Forsyth.

You scored as Karl Marx. You are a radical, perfectly fitting for one of Karl Marx's subjects. The world is wrong, capitalism is awful, and everyone needs to be equal! Down with the establishment, up with the red flag of communism!

Confessions of a girl who mostly does the right thing

It's all innocent flirtation until someone gets hurt.  Doing the right thing is sometimes rather unpleasant.  Raise your hand if you've ever wanted something you knew was not at all good for...

Sharons Next Single?

The monotony of day to day has not proven impetus for creative expression.  I'm certain one song per year doesn't qualify for prolific.  My boy stories are much less amusing these days, even...

It has been a few weeks since I returned from  Reno. I have neglected to write about said trip because it was largely uneventful.  Some day I'm going to return from a vacation, and when ever...

The Other Side of Unrequited

I think the past few days have afforded me the opportunity to be on every side of the hurricane that is unrequited love.  The only appropriate word for this has to be "crazy."  This seems ki...
