Friends and socialising first and foremost. I love music and try and see as many live bands as poss. Trying hard to save some cash to finally move out at the moment, but this year so far have been to see a few bands including: Primal Scream, Sigur Ros, TV on the Radio, The Cooper Temple Clause, Boy Kill Boy, the Automatic, Richard Ashcroft, Arctic Monkeys, Maximo Park, Soledad Brothers, and of course local favourites, Chop Chop Bear Touch. Going to see the Black Keys in October too...I have also been to the Isle of Wight festival, V festival and to the Saturday at Reading festival this year.
I love reading, going to the cinema, theatre in general, travelling, talking, shopping and lots more but I can't think. I used to work for a football club and enjoy taking my nearest and dearest to watch as many Premiership matches as possible...next one-Chelsea vs Liverpool on September 17th!
Anyone who thinks they might get along with me really...I'm nice. Honest I am! Here'e me with some pals at my friend Gary's birthday do. He's single so if anyone wants a date let me know! He's the one in the suit next to me! Aren't my pals great!? x
Me and my beautiful pals. They're lush, and I'm lucky!!..!
I like a bit of anything really, I have quite diverse tastes. So from Justin, Usher and Britney to Oasis, The Cooper Temple Clause, OutKast, Muse, Blur, Doves, Queen, Bloc Party, the Kooks, Peaches, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Damien Rice, Iron & Wine, Nine Black Alps, Prince, the Pussycat Dolls, Frou Frou, Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, The Automatic, Barry White (oh yes!) Wham! Ryan Adams, Stevie Wonder, Willy Mason, Cary Brothers, White Rose Movement, Graham Coxon, Stephen Fretwell, Seth Lakeman, Turin Brakes, Matt Willis (!) Maximo Park, We Are Scientists, Jeff Buckley, JC Chasez, Coldplay, Editors, The Arcade Fire, David Bowie, McFly, Foo Fighters, Elbow, Do Me Bad Things, Marvin Gaye, Kanye West, Boy Kill Boy, Beth Orton, Kasabian, Abba, Portishead, Massive Attack, Nitin Sawhney, Zero 7, the Bee Gees, the Rolling Stones, Eagles of Death Metal, Queens of the Stone Age, Kate Rogers, to the ultimate-Take That. Oh and Chop Chop Bear Touch are pretty darn ace too!
Generally I enjoy discovering new bands-but I like hearing about them through word of mouth of people whose taste I trust, I don't trust magazines like the NME where bands are bum licked one minute then slagged off the next...you like what you like, you should never feel ashamed of it! Feel free to admit openly you dislike Razorlight or even Babyshambles...I don't mind, I respect your honesty! I trust my friends opinions greatly over magazines and TV programmes that tell you who and what are trendy...for example, Butch Walker was recommended to me, I popped along to see him at V, and now I recommend him to everyone who reads this he is a great performer who has something special!
So in short I beg you to GET OFF THE BANDWAGON!
ET, The Usual Suspects, Indiana Jones trilogy, Finding Nemo, Wizard of Oz, Hotel Rwanda, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars (original films, not new ones!) Crash, St Elmos Fire, Dirty Dancing, Ghost, Monsters Inc, The Incredibles, Old Hollywood musicals-West Side Story etc. and loads and loads more. I love cinema and movies, one of the best forms of escapism there is. Thankyou for Smoking was one of the best films I've seen so far this year. Really funny!
ER, Friends, Big Brother, the Green Wing, the West Wing and I don't really follow anything else properly. I like watching sport on TV, does that count? I always forget that shows are on! Although I can aimlessly watch MTV for hours without getting bored!
The Beach by Alex Garland, A Million Little Pieces by James Frey, Brett Easton Ellis novels are cool and anything by Douglas Coupland or TC Boyle are yesses for me. Just started reading these trashy Jack Reacher novels by a guy called Lee Child. Great stuff....I also love Harlan Coben books, you know exactly what you're going to get!
Ordinary people who do amazing things. Some historical figures too. Oh and David Hasslehoff. And Take That. And Judy Finnegan.
Have a look at this link below, it's shocking, scary, but quite funny!!Clever Americans
