I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I wanna learn how to lie! Little lies, just to convince myself I've left all the concrete behind and am now a little tiny bit removed from where i was.
Does that even make sense???Screw it, i just wanna dance and party like its 1899!! MARCH 9th 2008 'We're Back!' Boylesque FEB 2008

My Interests

Peoples tall tales. Stories and strange things that happen to people makes my head spin. Also tattoos and anything that is created or disrupted form its orginal form. And walking. i love walking, so long as they're are no people around, it's the middle of nowhere and theres not a coke can in sight... ahhh bliss, that's what traveling is for!

I'd like to meet:

People who like all the bits and pieces of everyday life. Who don't get bored easily because they're interested in the things that are happening around them.

This is the flyer for the fundraiser I set up for the Mekhala House Orphanage in Prey Veng, Cambodia. We raised over £500 that night and it all went straight to them, bought everything from combs to medicine!

I set up an Art Therapy programme for the kids and taught the teachers how to continue after i left. The programme is now up and running and it's been going for 3 months!!!!In March the Cabaret Carnival will return, bigger and better than ever before!

Music:

TOM WAITS is music in my world. That man can sing and write like no-one else ever!!In my cd player today I have Mazzy Star, Rasputina... A Silver Mount Zion, the wonderful and most elegant Kimya Dawson, and miss Regina.. ACUTECOUCH are amazing!! Joanna Newsom is lush like a lavender lake.

Then for a bit of rock and roll before a night out, Rockabilly does the trick!
Also love a bit of Le Tigre, Morning wood (thanks Briony!)
my CD collection is a mess of alsorts of music and styles!

Movies:

The Crow, Girl Interupted and goodbye Lennin are all lush films.

Television:

Mainly documentries on things I've never heard of.

Books:

House of Leaves and any book that takes a part of your life to read.

Heroes:

People are just people, theres no heros only people I connect better with and I'd walk around the world to talk to, Melora Creaga, Kimya dawson and Regina Spektor are definately three people I'd walk a long way to say hello to.If I had a time machine I would LOVE to have talked to Gypsy Rose Lee and Barbraba La Marr!!
