Bio
High energy, hard hitting, barrier breaking; the sound that peeks your adrenaline and sends goose
bumps up your spine from the first note.
A rock 'n roll, metal blend that provides elements of these
5 diverse musicians into one brew; ranging from Guns N Roses, Deftones, Metallica, Pantera, Alice In Chains,
to Lynyrd Skynyrd and CCR (to name a few).
Final Drive began in 2001 as Nathan Easter - Guitar, Andy Becker - Drums, Chris Nanney - Guitar
and Casey Logue - Bass.
Jordan Gaw - Vocals, joined in Oct of 2002 rounding out the line up.
In Nov of 2002 Final Drives' first recording was completed and released as a three song sampler,
featuring "Dia de los Muertos", "The No Tomorrow" and "Again" . After relentless gigging Final Drive
entered the Studio again, this time with Brian Scheffer at Tiny Apertures Recording Studios to record
what would become "Good Things Come to Those Who REFUSE to Wait". The EP would see the return of new
versions of "Dia de los Muertos", "The No Tomorrow" and introduce "2000 Miles", "The Simple Life" and
"Closed". This EP would also see the departure of Casey Logue, the introduction of Chelsea Muckermann
and ultimately be the sound that landed them as 1 of 8 finalists on MTVs "The Battle for Ozzfest".
The band although not getting much screen time as a whole would end up placing fourth, the exposure sparked
album sales domestic and international as well as a relentless 6 month touring schedule of the
United States; which included many independent tours with other BFO finalists and Nationals such as
SATYRICON and 3 Inches of Blood.
The close of the rigorous touring schedule would see the expiration of Chelsea Muckermann.
With her replacement, Steve Cooke, Final Drive began working on new material and polishing up
material not yet recorded for their next studio attempt. Jason Sackett entered the band on bass
only a few months later to fill in at a very crucial time and would lead to the addition of the full
time bassist, Matt Robinson. With all five members locked in, never before since Casey, they moved
forward with the next record.
Final Drive hit the road once again in the middle of the new record for a west coast run with friends
THE REND, promoting a sampler record featuring pre-mixed and unmastered samples of a few tracks from
both bands new records. The sampler included rough cuts of "Over My Dead Body", Another Never Was" and
"Fallback Plan" from Final Drive.
As the new studio release from Final Drive enters the mixing stage, the fire still burns deep,
2007 will see Final Drive step up a notch and knock down all obstacles blocking their adamant goal.
Press
Final Drive is a well formed solid Metal band, a force to be reckoned with.
"Good Things Come To Those Who Refuse To Wait" is an awesome album to slam out to,
as well as their live performance.

Next up was the main act, Final Drive. I was hoping that they were not a token Midwestern band for America to laugh at on TV.
My worries were quickly put to rest as they opened their set with lead singer Jordan Gaw giving the most impressive scream
I have heard-ever. Their sound is crunchy, jarring, and unmistakably metal to the core. Barreling through one hard rock
anthem after another, the band has all the makings of the next big thing. Their rhythm was tight, their guitars were
blazing, and Gaw entertained the crowd with his high-energy shenanigans.

SEE FINAL DRIVE WHENEVER POSSIBLE!!! These guys will kick your ***** ass and
YOU WILL like it!! On the heels of their CD Release mini-tour, this was definitely a treat for everyone in attendance.
Showing no signs that this was the final show of a grueling stint on the road; they had the energy and charisma of well
seasoned vets. The whole time I just wanted to get drunk and fight!! Seriously though, find out for yourselves why they
are 1 of 8 finalists for Ozzfest 2005
