Band Website: last.fm/music/Rodrigo+Jarque
Band Members: It's Rodrigo Soto, Angelo Agurto, Pablo Yovane and Rodrigo Jarque playing drums, guitars, the detuned piano, The Roland Space Echo, the bass guitar, the looped tapes with ghosts in them, the yamaha SK20 and the Casio VSS30, the glockenspiel and the bells in the church next to my house (thanks to the old parish priest, who allowed me to do the tolling one sunday morning thinking I was trying to record the voice of God). And of course, my hums and sighs (the so-called singing) after 3 weeks tonsilitis.
We know where you live...hahahahaha!
Influences: Winter Storms and E-Bows, Climate Change due to global warming, hesitation, being afraid of mirrors, bad luck, Los Chileneros and my friend Hernan Nunez (r.i.p), my work at the United Nations' High Commissioner for Refugees, a cup of coffee in a rainy day, laughter in the distance, the sound of trains, the first light in the mornings, William Turner, War Poets (Wilfred Owen, Sigfried Sassoon) and my mom and dad.
Sounds Like: the songs I used to sing when I was a child. At least, what I can recall about them... and also very much like myself recording in my room. It's important for you to know that the songs were recorded in a lower pitch, not the modern 440 Hrz, but the old barroque 415 Hrz...that's why the songs may sound a bit "out of tune" to your ears...this is dull Psichophonic Rock...
