I was born in Honduras, I came to this country at the age of 18. I went to school and finished my GED at Garfield High adult school in East LA. Most of my english was learned in the street. I never felt the need to perfect my english, that is why I have a harsh accent. Some of my friends make fun of my english. The funny thing is, they are Hispanic and don’t speak Spanish. I tell them that I am bilingual and not to make fun of people with accents because they speak at least two languages. Regardless of what my friends say, my accent landed a yob on my brother’s show.
