Tania first fell in love with music in her mother's womb, notably kicking when Janis Joplin or the Rolling Stones came on the radio. By three years old she already knew most of the words to every 7" single and 13" album her parents owned, and enjoyed bopping around with the closest object that resembled a microphone, whether this be a hairbrush, a mixing whisk, or even a loofah!
When Tania started writing poetry at the age of eight, it was only a matter of time before her writings progressed into lyrics and she penned her first 'real song' just 2 weeks before her ninth birthday. Since then, Tania has dabbled in songwriting on and off as a hobby and has amassed a huge collection of original material in many styles from ballads, to rock, heavy metal, rap, pop and even club/dance.
Recently, Tania has been issued with a challenge to form a tribute band to Evanescence, and gig across London and Essex. She is dedicating herself to this project whole-heartedly and regular updates will be posted in her blog section under the title Becoming Amy....so make sure you come back regularly to see her transformation from sweet-girl-nextdoor, to goth-queen-on-stage!
There will also be a chance to audition for the band in early 2008, so if you love Evanescence and think you have what it takes to perform to their level, keep checking back for audition details - and make sure you can play the following songs effortlessly! As you will be asked to play one of them at random...
