Mooli are singer - songwriter Clea Llewellyn ( Jah Wobble and his English roots band)on vocals and guitars and Synth playing Producer - writer Ben Copland ( Beverley Knight, Liberty X, Sita, Edurne Garcia) , handling the electronics. The band released their debut 4 track limited edition Ep ' One Design' in March 2006 Mooli music label ( AIM). They soon came to the attention of Hitquarters and Songquarters who named Mooli, artist of the week, and Songwriters of the month. Soon they had teamed up with former Dido manager Seven webster, whose Company A7 music signed publishing for One Design, pledging to get the song onto International Compilations, to create awareness of the band, and bring in some much needed funding. To date Mooli appear on 14 compilations including Chris Coco's Electracoustic, Future Chill, Breakfast club- London, cafe Buddha 4, Ministry of sounds Judgement sundays 07,and hed kandi founder Mark Doyle's Angels fall, alongside acts like Thieverry Corporation, Sarah McLachlan, Jose Gongalez, Bonobo, Bent, Peter Bjorn and John and Snow patrol. Increasingly their unique soulful electronica is being heard on radio stations across the world, including BBC radio 1, 6 music, Radio 2, RTE2FM and Ibizia radio. The band recently featuring on BBC introducing with Tom Robinson , an early Champion of their music. The band have also been played on MTV europe, and MTV dance - club Chilled. The video for their song ' Save you' being played alongside the likes of Massive attack, and Morcheeba Personalised Signed copies of their debut album Concubine is available to pre order via the Mooli website http://www.moolimusic.com.
