Fourteen years later, I find myself swimming, living, eating, sleepin, n dancin in music. How empty my world would be without it. My passion and perseverance continues to let me grace the decks at various establishments across the capital..The majority of friends you'll find on my pages are producers, artists and DJ's who have all been a huge influence and inspiration to me. They have all contributed to an array of blissful soundz which I chose to share with anyone who wants to listen..'The Broken Beat Show' House FM Wednesdays

BIOGRAPHY..
Sophie’s journey through music has helped her to develop an eclectic mixture of musical styles. Her knowledge combined with her passion illustrates her ability to incorporate many genres of music within her DJ sets.“I have always been open minded when it comes to music and therefore find it impossible to pigeon hole the style that I play.â€At 17, Sophie’s career began as a broadcasting assistant at Kiss Fm. Since then she has worked for Virgin Records, (Club Promotion) Dance Star Awards, Slice PR, Bold Music, Release the Groove and Reckless Records. In addition to this, she has been hired to consult on various club nights and music/media events throughout the Capital, working with many DJ’s and producers worldwide.Sophie has a unique ear for music, always looking for something ‘different’ yet never forgetting to show the importance of knowing where current music comes from. “I love my records, but the originals will always be a cut above the rest. I think that part of being a good DJ is not only having technical ability, but is also to really know and understand your music†In more recent years, she has been experimenting with her own production, which is something she hopes to dedicate more time to in the near future. The last 8 years, have led Sophie to play at many well established venues within the UK as well as abroad, from Europe to the Middle East. Her reputation is such that she has played alongside the likes of 'King Britt' and made regular appearances at The End/AkA Bar, The Met Bar, Ten Rooms, Cherry Jam, The Lodge, Woody’s, and MoMo’s to name but a few. In addition to this work, she has played at exclusive events such as London Fashion Week, the Launch of Tantalize Magazine, Louis Vuitton special events, and MTV/EMI after parties. In 2003, Sophie was invited to be part of the world’s only all-female broken beat platform ‘LadyBugz,’ (in association with ‘Bugz in the Attic’) a highly successful night delivering the best in Broken Beat, Neo Soul, and Future Jazz. The Broken sound is unique, rapidly developing more interest. This is a sound Sophie has been associated with in recent years. “My record bag does seem to be holding more n more broken beatz, some of which don’t even leave my bag, but that doesn’t mean that I’m neglecting alternative music. I guess it all depends on where I’m playinâ€
