About Me

Sorry about the pic - I don't have one yet, and thus chose a suitable one (a modern depiction of Zarathrustra). Why? Don't know, I guess I am reading "Beyond Good and Evil" and it reminded me of something. I have a 14 year-old daughter and 16 year-old son...need to say anything else? But seriously, I like the old classics (anything better than "Thus Spoke Zarathrusta" or the final movement to Beethoven's Ninth Symphony?). I guess I am just infintely inquisitive, and maybe too complex....from quarks, strings and n-dimensional space, to writing poetry and watching Monty Python. Maybe I have too many individuals inside my head (oh, don't I wish!). I even enjoy shopping with my better half (yeah, right!). I think I am a Hume-anist, hard to tell sometimes...sometimes too can be quite Nietzschean (on my better days).Give me a chat if you want to talk about the wonder of the universe...or simply the wonder of a single blade of grass. 11,000 Layouts! @ HOT FreeLayouts.com

My Interests

Yes. oh..um...camping, hiking, working out, classic rock (listening to and singing to), inverse Hilbert spaces (do you think there are any?), etc.

I'd like to meet:

Plato or Wagner (although they wouldn't look too good after all these years). I would also like to meet the superman.

Music:

G&R, Zep, Metallica, Scorpions, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Eagles...you get the picture.

Books:

The Origins of Conciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind, by Julian Jaynes. The Classics of Western Thought, The Tao of Pooh, Thus Spoke Zarathustra, the Mind of God, The Holographic Universe.

Live!

Golden orb, quench me with your warmth.  Day after day you rise before me, without jealousy, without envy.  You shine for all, but rarely does anyone see, except for the trees.  Bathe y...

In the stillness

In the stillness of the night, I cried out "where is my God?".  I did not get an answer, so I decided to look elsewhere.  I came upon a small brook, flowing freely and endlessly, and I asked...

Beware!

Beware, there is among us the seeds of our destruction.  Those of the bicameral minds will usher in the 1,000 year reign of God on Earth.  Conciousness will once more be united with God.&nbs...
