Founded by Thought was created in December 2002 by Jack (Drums) and former band member Mark Errington (Guitar/Vocals). Later that year the two invited Ferg to step in on Bass to complete the band.
The three guys continued up to New Years Eve 2003 when they asked Woody to join on Guitar and Vocals to bring new material and ideas to Founded by Thought The Band then began to work on a new sound creating a feel for direction.
In May 2004 the band started work on their first EP, featuring 'Emotions', 'Thinking of You' and later the popular song 'Passive Motion' in July. The EP was recorded October 2004 at a local Studio, which motivated the Band to write material for the second EP "Easy Way Out" followed closely after.
Mark then left the band in search of different things, and the band were reluctant to recruit another member but instead decided to change their style and write new challenging material.
'The Works' EP including 'Be The One' was later recorded in 2006, an important turning point for the band, although the tracks were liked by others the band could see a different direction and strive toward that direction today.
In August 07 Nick joined the FBT team producing the raw sound whilst playing Keyboard and Synth. Nick added the missing element to the recorded EPâ€™s and later went on to work in the production of the latest EP â€˜Fictional Truthâ€™
