Music, reading, origami & eating. I would like to get back into playing Tennis. (hinthint, Steve. LOL) and Bowling. I love classic movies and am really building up a collection. I seem to have this powerful knowledge of movie trivia. Not that it does me any good.
Beethoven, Mozart, Einstein, Marilyn Munroe, Elanor Roosevelt, Bette Davis, Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, Schubert and Tennese Williams. Living, I would like to meet: Sean Connery, Isabella Rosselini, Harvey Feirstein, Bruce Valanch, Lily Tomlin, Goldie Hawn.
Mozart, Debussy, Stravinsky, Prokofiev, Beethoven, Schubert,Bernard Herrman, Bjork, Ellington, Brubeck, the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Weird Al Yankovic and all those splashy broadway and movie musicals.
Where do I begin. Some Like it Hot, Eating Raoul, anything with the Marx Brothers or Laurel and Hardy, the Producers, Ruthless People, any Astaire and Rogers, any Bette Davis, any Humphrey Bogart, some of Joan Crawford, any Ingrid Bergman, Sound of Music, Sweet Charity, Oliver!, any Warner Brothers musicals, MGM musicals, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Blazing Saddles, Casablanca, Citizen Kane, the Music Man, the Wizard of Oz, the Blue Bird(a Shirley Temple film where she plays a brat. It was her prize for not being picked to play Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. See, I just ooze these little known facts!), My Beautiful Luandrette, any Myrazaki (Spirited Away, Ki-Ki's Delivery Service etc.), Metropolis (both anime and silent classic versions), the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, any disaster films especially those done by the "master of disaster" Irwin Allen! And that's about a quarter of the films I like! (LOL)
Old shows like I Love Lucy, the Golden Girls, the Dick Van Dyke show, Sid Cesar, Beanie and Cecil, South Park, SpongeBob SquarePants, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Carol Burnett, Magnum P.I., Night Court, Barney Miller, Maude We dont have cable and to get even NBC, CBS and ABC you need cable here in NM so am not up on the new shows. Haven't had cable in quite some time.
Jurassic Park and Lost World, to Kill a Mockingbird, Hiroshima, any Al Franken, Jaws and Jaws 2, most Stephen King, biographies and autobiographies, an ocassional science fiction, most fiction and fact books and the Kabbala. also have quite a few children's books like A Cricket in Times Square, the Phantom Tollbooth, Alice in Wonderland and Thru the Looking Glass and the Wizard of Oz etc.
