Health and nutrition are currently at the top of this list, along with raw foods (just to be clear only from the plant kingdom), there is so much to learn and i love it! I also enjoy meditating, reading, hikes, music, pilates, yoga, dancing, kb, martial arts (been away from it though), working out, creating, photography, nature (from basking in the warmth of the sun to tilling the soil), intelligent converations, philosophy (too many to mention) and well i'm a very open minded individual...
I like positive, kind hearted, honest, intelligent, environmentally friendly, spiritual people, who aren't afraid to be and/or think for themselves. Those that believe we have decisions and choices to make in life, and aren't lying around accepting that which "happens" to them! (not just another sheep in the heard :P) Only we can decide our paths!!
I enjoy all genres of music. Growing up i was exposed to a lot of Elvis, Beattles, Tom Jones, Classical, Blues, etc. You can always find me listening to music (dancing anytime there's a beat!), and singing along if i know the words (sometimes even when i don't, lol) Some of the artists/styles i enjoy are: Jack Johnson, Kinnie Starr, The Marley's, Reggae, Harper, Harmer, Loreena McKennit, Tori Amos, Blues, M.I.A., Madonna, Michael Franti, 1 Giant Leap, DCFC, BEP's, Kravitz, Patsy Cline, Judy Garland, OLP, Doors, Zeppelin, gwen, eminem ... there are so many ... i really enjoy it all - depends on my mood really... music moves, excites and fills the soul!
I enjoy movies that make you laugh, heart felt movies and movies that make you think. From classics to cartoons to musicals to Bruce Lee (this man really is in a category of his own) to drama to suspense (i might have missed a couple of categories) there is a favourite in each. To name a few favs. Go Further, What the bleep do we know?, Auntie Mame, Dirty Dancing, Baraka, Princess Bride, Practical Magic, Enter the Dragon (they're all so different lol)
Too much of peoples lives are wasted in front of an inanimate object such as the T.V. To quote the RHCP - Throw away your television!!
I always have a couple of books on the go. There just aren't enough hours in a day! Other Favourtie/recommended reads: The Celestine Prophecy, The Path of the Peaceful Warrior (both of them), Snowboarding to Nirvana, Seventeen ways to eat a Mango, The Tenth Insight, Eating for Beauty;David Wolfe, Green for LIfe, Raw Family and 12 Steps to Raw Foods (to name just a few).
A living hero of mine is my grandmother. With everything she's done and gone through in her life, her strength and will to live life to it's fullest still prevail. Full of love and quick funny quips and poems, she's never at a loss for words.
