One would describe Ms Kim as a lady that likes to live life to the fullest. This single quality has made her strive for big things not only for herself but for the city in which she lives.
Hitting the party scene in Detroit at an early age Ms Kim acquired a love for the party life and House Music. After she discovered her sexuality she began to set her sites on Lesbian event planning and promoting.
For Five years she worked with Detroit’s ‘Diamonds and Pearls’, a female organization that gave monthly events on Detroit’s East Side. After their break-up Ms Kim took a year’s break to refocus her energy and gained her confidence. She started her own organization called ‘Pink Ice Productions’ which planned events ranging from Party Promotions, Book Signing and even a Poetry Series.
Life had different plans for Pink Ice Productions and for Ms Kim. She began planning Detroit’s Pride ‘Hotter Than July†and over time gained the seat of Vice President. Because of the work involved with that position “Pink Ice Productions’ took a hiatus so that she could focus on the workings of ‘Hotter Than July’.
Now having over three years of Vice Presidency for Black Pride Society and a year as Vice President of The International Federation of Black Prides (IFBP) the music scene has returned to claim Ms Kim. Pink Ice Productions has now turned into Pink Ice Promotions, producing events for Ice Cream Dream Records and managing their artist, Hip Hop Performer Mz Jonz, Producers Ms. F.I.T.T. and Al Boi, and R&B singer Cig’r.
