Join us in July as the Midwest oldest pride gets rejuvenated. HTJ!2008 invites you to Embrace Your Past and Celebrate Your Future with us as we celebrate 13 years of SGL/LGBT empowerment.
Organized in 1996, Detroit’s Black Pride Celebration “Hotter Than July†is an exciting five-day event complete with dynamic workshops, receptions, cultural arts activities, and small and large nightclub events, culminating with the worlds largest Pride Picnic Festival.
Hotter Than July features activities for the entire family, including: performances artists and art exhibition; participation from national & local health organizations; and arts & crafts. We kick off Hotter Than July with a Pre-Pride Parade, be sure to get your spot. We Look Forward to seeing you there…. And when you are asked “how hot is it� Be sure to answer LOUD AND PROUD.
