.. The last great book I read
By my definition great books are timeless when doesn't matter. A true great changes you(not always for the better) Partial List:Forever War,Catch 22, Story of O,LOTR(I liked the movie too), Confederation of Dunces,Shardik,Brave New World, The Magus, Clockwork Orange(another good movie) do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep(and another)
.. My most humbling moment
Crying at a movie, not good movies where I could pretend to be deep. Dopey kids movies with orchestral crescendo and the obvious sucker punch before the happy ending.
.. Favorite on-screen sex scene
Buttercup and the Dread Pirate Roberts( if a masked man in tight leather pants doesn't do it for you may as well close the book here. Apple cheeked virgins with great cleavage inspire me to swordmanship.
.. The celebrity I resemble the most
Zorro but the mask flatters me much more than Senor Banderas(you'll just have to pretend I'm handsome)
.. The best or worst lie I've ever told
Any lie you get away with is a good lie(too glib, sorry, the best lie is the one you didn't have to tell) If "YOU" never lie you need to get out more
.. If I could be anywhere right now
Oz,Shire,Narnia,Barsoom,Camelot,Gotham City, Atlantis,100 acre woods,darkest Peru
Sort of non-fiction:
Berkeley'69,Carnaval in Rio, Pre ski resort Crested Butte, Shi Shi during a winter storm, darkest Peru
Citizens of the world, who think principles count for more than possesions. People who are serious about human and civil rights but are still playful sometimes.
The Bangles are from SoCal, boy was I wrong I always considered them the quintessential British female glamrock band.Actually, after listening to The Bangles - Going Down To Liverpool, (it's the video in my comments, Thanks Molly) geography notwithstanding they were the best British girl band, suck it Limeys.
I'm a huge fan of 70ish Motown--- Spinners, Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes,Isaac Hayes---blues Albert King, Bobby Bland--- Late 60's to mid 80's rock( sue me I'm too old to be hip anyway but disco was fun)
