Music, playing drums and bodhran, spending time with my husband, road trips and travel, a tad of web design, horses, boating,... I don't have much time for hobbies and such anymore! :) Who really cares about someone ELSE's interests, anyway?
OBAMA'S VICTORY SPEECH
LOVE it - LOTS of it! :)
Not into Hollywood movies much at all. Prefer foreign and independent. Foreign countries simply make better movies. They're simple, original, well-acted, SO much better. If there's blood 'n guts (with the exception of "Shaun of The Dead") :), and there are well-known "actors" and gratuitous violence, etc. it's not a movie I'd watch...
Some favorites are: Harold and Maude, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Dancer in the Dark, Life is Beautiful (Italy), Children of Heaven (Iran), Butterfly (France), Kitchen Stories (Sweden), The Color of Paradise (Iran), The Sea Inside (Spain),...
We're working prime time/don't watch much t.v. but we DO Netflix season DVDs of or record: Deadliest Catch, The Office (both U.S. and UK versions), Flight of The Conchords, The Colbert Report, The Daily Show, OLD ERs, OLD Gilmore Girls. Really like older shows and BBC programs like: Jeeves & Wooster, Blackadder, Father Ted, Mr. Bean, Monty Python, Not The 9 o' Clock News, Ballykissangel, or old U.S. shows like: Freaks and Geeks, The Waltons (Shaddup! Was one of the best shows ever!) :),... Never really get time to catch much current t.v. but most of it is crappage, anyway. LOVE LOVE LOVE *good* stand-up comedy. Practically lived at The Laugh Factory/ The Comedy Store/ The Icehouse in my early 20s. Good concerts/ good standup...not sure which I like better. :)
Unfortunately don't have much time to read lately. When I do read, it's anything from political boring-@ss stuff to Dean Koontz...
I am the hugest fan of Nobel Peace Prize winner, nuclear physicist, humanitarian, and incredible President/ person, Jimmy Carter , an amazing human who has given his life to charity and good works and is such an incredible, intelligent, and wise man.
